"This property is in the park and so you can get to the entrance by 6am when they open. The grounds are lovely as you are in the tropical forest. The first night we were there we heard howler monkeys close by and saw a Toucan (wild) and many birds. The hotel is supposedly run entirely on solar power, although that’s not something I could verify. But kudos to them. The room was very spacious for my son and I and so was the bathroom. The second night a troop of spider monkeys went by. What more can...

"Beautiful hotel on the shore of a beautiful lake. Facilities are excellent, comfortable, even too perfect. Staff is super friendly and will help all your needs. My daughters (8 and 10) ranked it in their top 3 hotels they have visited because they had so much fun, especially in the lake and pool. Very recommended."

"Conveniently located close to the entrance to Tikal National Park, the Tikal Inn has comfortable rooms (though no A/C), an amazing front desk staff willing to answer any and all questions about the park and the area, a beautiful pool just steps from your room, and a basic kitchen with an ample selection of local foods that won’t break the budget. Electricity is rationed to three times a day for 2 or 3 hours, making it an eco-friendly experience. Wildlife can be spotting easily on the property...
