"We stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast on the morning of departure. Anyone with mobility issues needs to be careful about which room they book, of those in the castle I think that there are a couple on the first floor, accessed by a fairly grand staircase. The rest require a climb up a narrow and steep spiral staircase. The room we stayed was up said spiral staircase and was spacious and clean, well furnished and with a large en-suite. The lady on reception provided a great welcome and helped during our stay, special mention also goes to the lady who gave us and other guests a castle tour. In terms of dining we found a limited menu and an incapacity to vary it in the slightest. Also the staff were less than attentive."

"Clean and comfortable - what more do you want. Good food on site so you don't need to go out if you don't want. Ideal location for exploring this part of Northumberland with the coast, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Berwick etc fairly close. Easy to find, being right on the A1, but traffic noise was minimal and not a problem. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the area."

"The room was cosy clean and had everything you need to stay for a couple of days. We just struggled with the lighting , switches very strange ! No light over the tea making table so rather dark and had to use a torch."

A great place to relax with lots of places to visit nearby, lovely breakfast and main meals, quiet comfortable room and colleagues who seem determined to make your stay special. "Nice easy location for Lindisfarne. Good menu, but seems to be the same one at each of this group of hotels. Decent sized room, with tea and biscuits supplied. Bed and pillows a little too firm for my liking, but some people may prefer them this way."
