"This is the second time I have stayed at the Solana hotel but unfortunately it will be the last. The staff member who checked me in was pleasant but unfortunately a couple who were Infront were struggling to understand what she was saying and there was not much helping them it was almost well it's your fault you can't understand... When my room was ready I made my way and I cannot fault the room was a good size, clean well presented. The shower was good and again happy with that. In the morning I went down for breakfast and it was chaos. One gentleman just accepting everyone to go in find a table that just wasn't available. People were almost falling over eachother just to get a table. After about 10 minutes I gave up as more and more people were wanting tables. It was getting worse. I said to the guy you need to stop people going in to which his reply "you should have arrived earlier". It was 9am when I arrived. This is not full summer time so I hate to see it when it really is full, he just didn't seem to care and finding a member of staff actually working in the restaurant was even harder to find than a table. It wasn't good at all. Upon check out I mentioned these issues to the receptionist as she asked. No sorry, no explanation all she said was "you have to write a review" so here I am. I presume paid for breakfast and believe me it's not about the money or refunds but nothing was offered. There's an hotel down the road The Maritim, it may cost more but 100% go there."

"Someone told me it had been renovated 18 months ago but I find that hard to believe. The decor or rooms are by no means luxury as described on the site I booked it. The room absolutely stank when we arrived I later likened it to tne smell of the indoor pool. Thw towels in the room are of poor quality and overall I would not stay here again It was all inclusive but don’t be fooled, the cocktails have little to no alcohol, the hot drinks are barely warm so ask for extra hot when getting a coffee from anywhere, The dining options were good but the restaurant floor needed a constant sweep. "

"Room immaculately made up every day. Good supply of tea coffee ect. Good fitness centre and pool although chlorine a bit strong. Handy for bus to airport and Valletta. Walking distance to Gozo ferry. Paradise Dive Centre across the road offering try dives, guided dives and dive courses. Would book again "

"Check in easy and polite, live piano in the lobby bar on Tues Thurs Sunday 8-11 pm, robes and complimentary bottle of red were a nice touch in our junior suite, balconies great with awesome view is the bay, and outlets were universal taking American, European, and UK charge types and maybe Australian and Asian too. Overall great spot would highly recommend."
