Cat & Dog Friendly Hotels

"Friendly and helpful staff at the hotel, rooms well equipped, clean and tidy. Each room has a balcony, although not all overlook the lake. Excellent restaurant in the hotel, highly recommended. The roof top bar gives wonderful views of Tegernsee and surrounding area, definitely worth a visit. They also have the local beer on tap, and a good selection of other drinks, spirits and cocktails. Breakfast at the hotel while good is a little pricey if you pay as you go, so if you want breakfast maybe pre-boiling is best, but otherwise zero complaints. We learned also that visiting tourists can get free local bus travel, more info is available from the hotel reception staff and Tegernsee tourist information. Local taxi's can be quite expensive and airport transfers can be challenging. Uber is available in Munich and at the airport but not locally in Tegernsee, so hiring a car or using the train network are good alternatives. After all the hotel is on Bahnhofstraße (station road) and is only around 200m away. In summary, I would not hesitate to recommend the Caro & Selig, our experience was excellent."

"The only negative thing I have to say about this property is that I didn't stay longer. This was easily the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was incredible, the restaurants were amazing, the hotel was gorgeous, the spa was other-worldly, and the staff did everything in their power to make sure I had everything I could have needed. "I visited this area for the first time, and I really liked this hotel. The rooms are good sized and the bed is very comfortable. The windows swing open wide which was nice to bring in the cool evening air. The location is right in the action for the town, and it's across the street from the lake so I had a really nice view from the room. The restaurant is very good, opting to eat there twice for dinner. The breakfast which was included in the room was very good too. The front desk team spoke perfect English which I appreciated and their directions and suggestions were very much appreciated."

"Great stay st Bachmair Weissach. The hotel is beautiful. Particularly the stream that runs through it and the spa. Rooms are spacious, clean and quite nice. But there’s no a/c. It can get quite hot during the day. Staff was nice and attentive. Although service was a bit slow at times. Nothing too bad to detract from a wonderful experience"
