"Pretty good overall, but the hotel feels a bit like a work in progress and the decor is a bit tired. Room furniture seems hurriedly assembled from second hand stores! That said - great location, very comfy bed, clean and airy room, large clean bathroom, cooked breakfast!"

"My stay at the Devonian was nothing short of exceptional, and I'd return without hesitation! From the very moment I arrived — even a little ahead of check-in time — the warm and welcoming Gillian was right there to greet me at the door with a smile, and my room was already beautifully prepared. What a wonderful first impression! The property itself is absolutely immaculate and tastefully decorated throughout, reflecting a genuine pride of ownership that's hard to miss. The thoughtful attention to detail shines through in every amenity provided, and the spotless cleanliness from top to bottom truly sets the Devonian apart. The staff were a constant delight — always cheerful and ready with a friendly word whenever our paths crossed coming and going. And the location? Simply perfect! Nestled right at the heart of Loch Promenade, the Devonian places you at the ideal midpoint for exploring everything this wonderful area has to offer. Fantastic restaurants, the Strand Shopping Centre, the beautiful beach, and charming cafes are all just a leisurely stroll away in either direction. If you're looking for a stay that combines comfort, cleanliness, outstanding hospitality, and an unbeatable location — look no further than the Devonian. Highly recommended!"

"Nice big room overlooking the town square and the castle with a balcony, however when I entered there were hundreds of black flies around the windows that took a lot of getting of. Food is nice and have eaten there before on many visits to Isle of Man, but first time staying. I was somehow expecting to guess where the breakfast was served as it wasn't pointed out that it was separate to the main bar, but once there everything was fine. Great location, car park is quite small, but there are alternatives nearby. I would possibly stay again as the location is so good, but it wasn't great value if I was honest as one night was over £140.. It was nice, most of the staff were great and I can't be negative in general, but just little things spoilt the experience."

"The room was small, and unfortunately, we were there while the temperatures were hot, and the fan in the room only worked partially. The hotel was nice on the inside and the breakfast was very nice. Front desk staff seemed a little pretentious."
