"This hotel has so much potential unfortunately it wasn’t to the normal standard that a three star German hotel is. The restaurant was open from 6 pm till 8 pm for dinner if you arrive at 7:45 pm it’s too late and that is ridiculous as for breakfasts The cheeses and hams and eggs weren’t replenished so choice was greatly limited. "Wir hatten im Waldhotel Bärenstein eine schöne Zeit verbracht. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer. Mit dem Personal waren wir sehr zufrieden. Das einzige was von uns zu bemängeln war ist das Abendessen. Wir hatten das Gefühl das Essen war nicht frisch gekocht sondern aufgewärmt. "

"The staff were excellent. I don’t speak German and their English was very good. It’s a lovely hotel in a lovely town. However, next time I would book a double room because the single was very small (like Japanese small). And only had one plug socket which was nowhere near the desk. "

"Hotel Gruener Sand was a very nice place, very clean room, courteous staff, helpful for someone like me that speaks very little German. Dinners were delicious in the little pub, and breakfast was also delicious. Very personalized care, and the only thing that I would recommend for the room(s)m, would be a little apartment size refrigerator. We had some juice drinks that needed refrigeration. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality"

"The Hotel is nice and the rooms are clean. The only problem is the breakfast in the morning. Tables will not be cleaned when guests are finished and difficult to find someone from the staff when you have a question or to need something. The breakfast basic. The food in the restaurant was ok. "
