"This was easily one of the most luxurious resorts I’ve ever stayed in. It is the previous French Governors mansion that was converted to 20+ room resort with bunnies and other fauna roaming the grounds. The rooms were right out of an Indochina romance with private gardens and an outdoor soaking tub. The stone tiles were pleasant on the feet"

"A green oasis in a green town. We, a family of four, stayed at Lotus Villa for two nights and had a wonderful experience. This boutique hotel is centrally located, but still hidden away from the busy main street. The very green courtyard provides a wonderful backdrop for our breakfast. "Mekong Riverview is an excellent option if you want to have a unique experience in Luang Prabang. It may not have the amenities of a five-star hotel, but I enjoyed it a lot more than staying at a cookie-cutter five-star hotel.
