You could buy a few things at reception like UHT milk if needed. The apartment was well laid out. Quiet. Comfortable beds We found the check in times a bit confusing online but relieved to find they'd been extended when we arrived."

"We rented a room at the last minute for a low price. This is not a typical hotel. We learned that we had been expected to bring our own linen, and we would [will?] be charged a cleaning fee if the room is not clean enough. Massive space for cost. This is an event cluster of apartments, and the management is not quite set up for smooth per diem rentals. All things considered, a pleasant stay and we navigated the lack of short term rental support."

"Quirky building hidden amongst others. Beautiful old staircase and lovely open air terrace, which was wonderful to sit in the sun with a beer. Nice clean room. Downside was having to use WhatsApp as a key to get into the building and the room. Clever but as traveling we didn't have WiFi or mobile data and so was forced to use our mobiles abroad and at a cost. Would have preferred a key. The breakfast included was extremely poor, some stale bread and butter and a couple of burnt croissants. Find...

Source d'amélioration - Accueil compliqué car hôtel difficile à trouver par manque de signalétique particulière et personnel pas trop formé à l'accueil Hôtelier(Facturation, paiement sur place,...). Cependant, personnel très à l'écoute, bienveillant, à la recherche de solution."

Château d'Artigny

10/10 Excellent

"The Chateau has an excellent restaurant, great Padel courts, a top notch tennis court and a very attractive pool and pool area. I found, within 6 minutes of the Chateau, a fitness club with weight training. The common area facilities, such as a lounge and a bar, are very nice. All of the staff were very welcoming; Etienne at the restaurant helped make our dinner a wonderful experience. We had a Junior Suite in the Ariane Pavillion, which had an unusual staircase mounting into it, old style furniture with lots of character but limited comfort and an annoying telephone shower without much of a shower screen. The air conditioning was, however, quite good. The room wasn't really to our taste, and the nice common areas of the Chateau weren't close and therefore weren't a good alternative to the room. This said, the room was sufficiently good for us, especially since we used the Chateau as a base to visit other Chateau."

"I wish the staff would have told us about the tram the first day so that we could have used it earlier. As well, we did not love the food served at the hotel restaurant. It was expensive for the meal and not really many choices. Staff was amazing otherwise."

"The deluxe room was well designed for travelers, with a good bed, toilet separate from a great shower with excellent water pressure and plenty of closet space and enough room. It was superb value for the price. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast also good value. The hotel isn’t modern but has character and is comfortable. It is in a good location, readily accessible to the sights of Tours and the railway station but also well situated for quickly driving out of town to visit chateaux. The parking, for which one pays extra and needs to reserve, is tight, so we wished we had had a mid-size instead of full-size SUV (which would have also been better for some of the narrow country roads outside of Tours). The gym only has a few cardio machines but one could probably get a good workout at a fitness club not far away. We didn’t try the mini-pool or hamam but they looked nice."

"Good and convenient location close to city centre and train station with parking available on-street nearby. We had adjoining rooms - quite small but did the job as we only stayed one night but while passing through. They accept dogs which is a plus and limits our choices. Helpful staff. We didn’t have breakfast as there are some lovely patisseries in the town."
