"Hotel messaged us and cancelled our reservation due to an emergency drove past and hotel was closed and looked like it needs pulling down as of yet no refund cannotcontact hotels.com will never use or recommend again"

"This is a really old hotel, fully upgraded and worthy of it's 4 stars. Lush carpets, modern furniture, plenty of space and storahe. We were upgraded to a deluxe room, how posh is that, everything is so comfy, staff will do anything for you, within reason. It is very handy for the local shops and theatre. I will return as this is luxury."

"Very friendly staff, they had fruit, snacks, tea, coffee and toilet roll that you could help yourself to if you wanted/needed. "

"This hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Chlemsford and it is only a short walk to the mainline train station, which has excellent and frequent Greater Anglia train services to London. The hotel staff, especially the reception ladies, are very friendly and pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet has now been replaced by a freshly cooked to order offering, for which you need to allow extra time. My only gribble was the breakfast coffee was tepid."

"Very close to A127 which is handy but it can also be noisy though not the Hotel's fault.Very close to large Retail Park (Pipps Hill) which is useful for food. Guests need to be reminded of the need not to slam doors at any time particularly at night, slightly annoying that parents allow their children to run around in the dining area. O therwise accomodation suitable for my needs. "
