"Neat and clean house. Proactive and accommodating host. She gave us an early check in and late check out. 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms with showers. Fully fitted kitchen and more than ample wood was provided for free. I will definitely recommend "

"It was wonderful and we had a fantastic stay. The property was beautiful spotless and I would recommend a stay to anyone wanting beautiful accommodation and scenery to go with it. The staff were fantastic. "

"Our door didn't lock for the inside so we slept with an open door all night. There is no security anyone can just drive in because it seem deserted. It took us 35 min to just find a worker to help us. There are many many flies in the cabins. There is a TV not connected to anything. There is no cell reception, or WiFi so if something goes wrong well your on your own. The place is extremely basic and you are basically paying for the view which is amazing. "Brenda and George were great hosts, helpful, quick to respond and assist with minor issues like an adaptor. Room, with separate shower bathroom and kitchenette was comfortable, clean, well equiped and had nice decor. Excellent value for money. Had a great 2-night stay! "

"We absolutely loved our stay at The Crown Guest house! Beautiful artwork everywhere, comfy and quiet rooms and a wonderful breakfast. The guest house is also a 3 minute drive from a mall with restaurants and shops, so very conveniently located. Highly recommended for your trip to the Eastern Free State! Many thanks to the owner and staff for making our stay so welcoming and enjoyable. "

Golden Gate Hotel

"We had a 1 night stay over at the Golden Gate hotel. We initially thought we booked at the hotel but was surprised that we had booked a chalet. The chalet was perfect with its own braai (BBQ) outside and all the amenities required for a proper self catering experience. Would definitely stay there again as it about a 15 minute scenic drive to Clarens."
