Eyre Square Hotel

8/10 Good

"The hotel is simple but that’s really all you need in Galway. Housekeeping made sure I had water and towels daily even if I didn’t require service. However, the staff in the restaurant are hit and miss. Had a fantastic bartender one night, and then around noon the next day i sat at the bar for 20min before walking out because nobody that walked by even acknowledged me. You’ll also overhear staff talking about their nights out and how hungover they are. If this doesn’t bother you, whatever. Was just a bit unprofessional in my opinion. Decent place to stay in walking distance to all locations and tour pickups are nearby. Would stay again, but probably wouldn’t bother with the restaurant."

"The Hotel is a wedding venue. Absolutely beautiful. 20 minutes outside of Galway. It is directly on the beach, but it is not to swim, just for views and breezes. It rained the days we were there. We couldn’t play tennis, but we used the pool, steam room and sauna. TV was good service. Ate several meals there which were excellent, and they served one of the best breakfasts of our stay in Ireland with many options."

"Great place to stay. Convenient location with easy walk to downtown Pubs, shops, restaurants and more. Facility is very clean and nicely maintained. Room was small but very efficient, comfortable, well provisioned, plumbing and electrical was all top-notch. Car park was a couple of blocks away, so try to find a nearby parking space or loading zone to drop and pick up luggage. We didn’t have time to make use of the pool or fitness room, but they both looked very nice and were being enjoyed by several other guests."
