"Nice hotel and pool. The rooms had pretty thin walls as we were able to hear the rooms next to/above us. The staff wasn't very helpful for us when trying to get help making a reservation in town because our phones didn't work. We were basically told 'no we don't do that' and turned away without further assistance. The rooms and facilities were nicely sized and clean! Location was good; close to the marina and to town."

"Cavallo is an idyllic and beautiful island. Unfortunately the hotel is no longer run in a first class way and I could not in good conscience recommend staying here (especially at these prices). For example, there is a ferry that takes you to the island. We called the hotel bc we were 3 mins late (after a 17 hour flight from California that wasn't so bad). The hotel assured us they would contact the ferry and make sure they would wait those three minutes. The ferry said no one ever contacted...

"We were pleasantly surprised with the comfort of our room at Hotel Castell'Verde, which was newly renovated, had fantastic air conditioning, and included a sizable outdoor terrace. The property itself is adequately appointed with nicely manicured gardens, two tennis courts, and a small-ish pool for hotel guests, which was never busy during the three days we stayed. We chose the hotel for it's proximity to the beach (10 minute walk) and Porto Vecchio (15 minute drive). Reception and housekeeping...

"The hotel is perhaps a little dated but the views across the bay to Ajaccio are truly outstanding and the pool area is superb. Our stay was made magical by the cats that populate the grounds and by the herd of wild boar that visited in the evening, overnight and in the morning. We awoke to the grunting sounds of the boar and looked down from our balcony on them snuffling for nuts on the ground. Seeing a family of boar, with three tiny piglets, was especially magical. The staff were friendly....

"Separate rooms, comfortable bed, nice shower with enough pressure, properly working air conditioning. The breakfast is great and with freshly ground coffee. They have a fixed lunch menu that is served until 18:30 so you have no worries about getting something to eat. The wine list is rather decent with nicely picked local organic reds, whites and rosés. Maora beach is within walking distance from the property so no worries about parking either. A great place to stay as a base to explore...

"The hotel is located just outside Propriano, on the main road entering the city. The common area looks great but the rooms are on the small side with no air conditioning. Although air conditioning at this time of the year was not needed, unfortunately we could not keep the patio doors open because anyone could enter the room during our sleep. The shower is an afterthought. It is soooo small that only a tiny person can shower in it. The big plus us that the hotel is 3 minutes drive from...
