"Clean well appointed room and the staff was wonderful"

"Nice mountain view trail side. So quiet. We don't ski so we came in the off season to enjoy the mountain views, cool evenings with dark skies so we could actually see the stars. So quiet when we cozied up by the fireplace. Swimming and enjoying the jacuzzi while we watched the sun set behind the mountain was fantastic. In just five minutes we could be at Lake Superior watching the sunrise. So wonderful and relaxing for the season we were there."

"My stay was peaceful and relaxing. Just what I needed. The room exceeded my expectations with a lovely view of Superior. It was the perfect place to watch the clouds role in over the big lake with my coffee and a sketch book. You could tell November was on the horizon. "

"I was very nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great stay. It's nothing fancy but the staff was great, the room had a beautiful view and it served its purpose. This location alone is worth the price we paid, which you're not going to find cheaper in Grand Marais. I mean, you're next door to World's Greatest Doughnuts! Maybe we just got lucky with our specific room but I think alot of the people in these reviews expected a 5 Star resort and just love to complain, but you get what you pay for! I would stay again! "
