"While I was a guest at the hotel, the main lobby was gutted and major construction work was undertaken to redo the whole entrance to the hotel. From 8:30 am until about 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday, the noise of power tools was reverberating through the whole building. It was quite difficult to work or take a nap during that time. Hallways and elevators were obviously also affected by dust and dirt from the construction.
When I complained about not giving been forewarned about the impending construction work when I made my reservations through EXPEDIA, the hotel informed me that I should have checked their website, where it was supposedly mentioned.
I did not feel that the hotel reached out to its guests to make any type of amends."
