Almonds and Corals Boutique Hotel

"We absolutely loved our stay at Almonds & Corals! The staff are caring & lovely!!! This location is at the beach, and has boardwalk throughout & down to the beach. There are stations near the beach to rinse, which is great, and there are padded loungers or tables & chairs, both with umbrellas. The rooms were very clean & comfortable. They do have steps though. Some have AC… ours did which we appreciated very much! But when it is cooler some of the windows can open to air it out & enjoy the nature. The cabins without AC seemed to be screened to allow for more air flow. We saw a LOT of wildlife at the resort, and they do have a walking trail, but we did not partake, as you can see quite a LOT from the boardwalk. I would say though that the location is too far for walking in the dark back & forth from dinner if you do not dine on site at Mocha Beach. But they have plenty of parking. We rented a car & were glad we had that to get back & forth. Manzanillo town is a little over a mile walk (down the beach was easier), Punta Uva was about the same from the beach, but more like 2.25 miles down the road. There are 2 very nice groceries in Cocles. Our only hang ups were these: 1- the in-room coffee service is limited, and they charge for more pods, 2- there was only 1 washcloth given to us at any given time, which was really awkward & lost in translation, 3- You can hear everything & everyone, pack ear plugs jic."

"My wife and I had a wonderful time at Beachfront Bungalows! It's a beautiful, well-maintained property, the room was exactly what we needed, the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very peaceful and wonderful place to spend a week, surrounded by nad close in proximity to Manzanillo, Coccles and Puerto Viejo. We would definitely visit Bungalows again!"

"Breakfast was always good. The property is a 7 minute walk to Playa Negra- which is a quite lovely beach. They have bikes at the hotel you can borrow which I used to go to the Playa Cochles (20 minutes) and Puerto Viejo (about 7 minutes). They pool there is very nice. I spent most of my time in the beach. The place was quiet and I slept very well. Having a/c was great- I dobt think I could have done without it and was a big reason why I decided to stay here. In short, highly recommend!"

"The property was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. From the complimentary breakfast to the beautiful pool, and reserved poolside chairs we loved it. They informed us of some community amenities and held our bags until the check in. We were allowed to check in a bit early also. Clean and well organized smaller hotel. We will return!"

"We enjoyed our stay. The grounds were beautiful and the beach was awesome with a small protected area with little waves. Breakfast was delivered to our room and enjoyed on our patio daily. The pool was nice (not freezing) and we saw Tucans and Iguanas."
