"The team at the property were ALL excellent - thank you. The property is accessed via an unmade road which was hard work for our small hire car - but because it was a hire car it made it through. The facilities are good. I tried the canopy walk, river slide, zip line and hot springs, all of which were very good. "Clean, very modest hotel along a road that is quite busy (noisy) during traffic time. Staff very kind and accommodating. On site coffee shop (Ticoffee) offers an interesting menu."

"Your own private oasis. Such a gorgeuous property with phenomenal staff! The staff wa so accommodating. Please realize you are at a lodge so big bugs should be expected. The montezuma oropenala birds were fantastic, the wild horses roaming around the pond breath taking and all the foliage and fresh fruit right off the trees was an unexpected treat. A phenomenal place to curl up with a good book and just enjoy nature! The food was goo and the bar will stay open as long as your hearts desire. "

"The hotel was good. I chose to pay at the hotel and they overcharged me. Expedia would not help with this of course, but otherwise the stay was good. It was a reasonable night for one night before I flew out of the country"

"Although the room was small and simple, it was clean, comfortable, and with good A/C. No hot water but who needs it in 33 degree heat. A bit noisy from the adjacent bar, but no problem with ear plugs. Good food in the attached restaurant. The staff were fabulous - friendly and super helpful and went out of their way. "

"We loved staying at Canon de La Vieja Lodge for our first few nights in Costa Rica. It was a short distance from the airport and close to the National Park. Lots to explore in the area. The property had many activities to enjoy. Even though the property is popular with tour groups we never felt it was crowded and always found quiet areas to enjoy by ourselves. We greatly appreciated the hot water pools down by the river as well as the main pool with it's swim up bar. Highly recommend this Lodge....
