"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects.
That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"This has to be the best view in Playa Carillo. Staff is super friendly and food is fantastic. Only a few minutes to one of the nicest beaches in Costa Rica. I recommend a 4x4 though to get there."

"LaTropicale with Arno the owner is our best experience in Costa Rica.He just want you to be happy and have the best stay ever.
We ate at his restaurant and honestly we had our best diner, he's a master chef, you have to try it!!
