"Very good hotel, but they didn't have a room for us when we arrived, despite our having prepaid for it months in advance. Management dealt with it well by sending us to another hotel for one night. So, apart from causing us some anxiety, it was only a small glitch..
It's not in the center of things, but everything you'd wand to do is within a short, cheap tuk-tuk ride. Management is very helpful arranging these, and anything else you need.

"Very relaxed, easy going place, great location, breezy view of estuary. It's a large room, nice furniture, bedding etc. Bar, very diversely stocked supermarket, resistant and coffee shop downstairs, means you have most things at your fingertips. Beach is 5-10min walk, as is boat hire, (all the fun craft available). I hired a kayak for an hour, very pleasant easy lagoon and estuary paddle.its a short walk from Aluthgama station. Bentota is over the bridge. "
