"Atallah didn't know or forgot he had a reservation. A few different guides and accommodations' people called Atallah for me (closed/no answer) or commented that Atallah didn't have any reservations. Seems like they all know each other; and 'Atallah" is a common name. But, it came down to me leaving Wadi Rum for Aqaba instead."

"This hotel is really well located in a buzzing area of Aqaba. It is a short walk to the beach and the main shopping area. The hotel is nice and comfortable but nothing flashy.
Be sure to get up early for breakfast as this hotel seems popular with tour groups and so fills at breakfast."
