"Basic comfort but very good emplacement. Cabanas are on the beach in front of the sea. Staff is nice but a little shy maybe. A basic breakfast is included on the price of the room. "

"This hotel is miss selling the rooms,the first room was not fit to sleep in and was moved to a new room which was not much better but was clean. The room i booked had cable tv,Wi-Fi and a bath but the room i got had non of these,they did not clean the room while we stayed there but say they do daily cleaning???on a plus point the staff were friendly."

"We loved Spice Trail and would compare the experience to a boutique hotel. Within Arugam Bay there is a big mix of backpacker / surfer accommodation but this was a cut above. Our room was extremely spacious and stylishly decorated with exceptionally good aircon and lovely bathroom. "Quoted about $150 on expedia but management wouldn't accept the price and was charged $275. Breakfast was terrible, mainly toast and jam. No clean linen or towels. Wifi hardly worked and in the mornings had to wait to wake up the "chef" to have breakfast. So don't book early morning tours."
