"We stayed in the rooms that were like regular hotel rooms. The views were beautiful from both the balcony and the front door. I was not aware that the lodge has newer rooms that are fabulously beautiful and actually quite luxurious. I saw them on the day we left and wish we had stayed in those. They cost more, of course, but I would have enjoyed those rooms and their extra-special location. The service was excellent and friendly. I recommend heartily. "

"I had an excellent stay at the Delano. The room was clean and had an excellent shower and hot water. The staff were very helpful, especially Gech who organised all my tours while I was there. "Very friendly and efficient staff. Stunning view overlooking Lake Tana and availability of boat trips. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Only downside was that they visit to the Blue Nile and waterfall wasn't possible due to external influences. "

"So far the hotel is very good, service team is polite and helps on all questions. Restaurant and food is very good. Many mosquitos, but help with spraying and antimosquito nets. So, no problem at all. Price is fair. I was not served the offered free bottle of wine as stated in my booking. Room was not with lake view, as stated in my booking."

"A friend and I stayed at the blue Nile resort hotel, which has a stunning setting and views on the waters edge of lake Tana. It was a perfect spot to start our tour of lake Tana and Islands. The staff were helpful and it the buffet breakfast had a good selection. However the twin room was very small which had not been apparent in the photos online as I had thought it was a twin room with double beds not singles and there was no hot water."

"The view of Gondar from my room was amazing and my room had a wonderful patio as well. The location on the hill was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful although not the most efficient. The amenities were good except they don’t supply conditioners. "
