The hotel seemed new and was well-designed. The spot reading lights by the bed were a nice touch, though we didn't need them because this was a suite with a sliding partition that blocked light from the adjacent space.
The property is on a main road, though traffic wasn't heavy overnight, so it was relatively quiet. There was a park across the street and a mix of small businesses in the surrounding blocks (restaurant, auto shop, etc.). We stayed here due to the proximity to the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, but this is also a convenient location for catching an early morning ferry.
The highlight of breakfast was the fresh-baked scones! We try to stay at lodging that includes breakfast, and, of all the places we've stayed in recent memory, no other hotels served anything this good.
