"This hotel is outdated in the best possible way— it feels like going to a rich relative's house in the 90s. Ornate and stylish, lots of character to the place. Tub also had jets, which was a great surprise. Room had a fireplace, but it was summer so they had the gas turned off. "The suite is old, and so may not appeal to everyone. It doesn't have AC so could be a hot box in summer, but there are plenty of fans and lots of open windows. There is lovely, tiny balcony off the kitchen, facing the back garden. I stayed for just one evening and was quite comfortable. The place suited me perfectly. "The bathtub in our room tap was broken. You either had to have a burning hot water shower or a frigid cold which I did. My husband is a plumber and he couldn’t fix it for me, room 108. Don’t let anyone use the room until it’s fixed."

"Stayed here for a wedding nearby and the stay was great! The room was very clean and spacious! The staff are very polite and informative with any and all questions asked! I don’t usually like breakfast at hotels but I must say that this one surprised me! So much to choose from and lots of seating! I would return again and recommend to our friends & family!"

"The hotel is located by the lake in the centre of the town. Is the service attitude good, but its facilities are slightly better than those of a motel. I wonder why it is classified under IHG on the website."

"We went for a couples getaway and had a lovely time. The resort is clean and cozy. We stayed in one of the Terrace rooms and it was large and comfortable, although decor and fixtures were dated. The restaurants on site were both good and reasonably priced. Golf was nice - also a reasonably priced lovely 9-hole course. Front desk staff were fantastic. I do wish they had a bigger pool area, and a hot tub would be great too after a round of golf. I was also disappointed that the spa didn’t have...

"We had so much fun at this resort. The cabin was perfect and everything was clean and exactly what we expected. The outdoor table and set up was so nice to be able to watch kids play either at the park or the beach, and also just enjoy a morning coffee. We used the boats and kayaks and games room too. Only thing was you have to park at the main area and carry items to your cabin but it’s not far. Would definitely recommend to other families. We will be back!"
