Fabulous whale watching from your own balcony
We booked the deluxe apartment with our own kitchen & braai on the deck. This was great for us as we like to mix eating out with preparing a meal for ourselves. Breakfast time was particularly great as we could relax at our own pace and watch the whales, very close to the shoreline, while enjoying our cup of tea. A great find and would recommend this small but very comfortable guesthouse. Pictures shown taken from the balcony.

The second we walked in we saw whales from the upper floor terrace. Monica was an absolute superstar and made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Fresh flowers in the room, spotless linen and bathroom. A real little Gem. The breakfast was delicious!

What a beautiful place! We had a really, really great time at the Kleinzee. My wife and I had a slight communication issue with the B&B at first because the phone numbers listed on expedia and on Google don't work. Once that was sorted (big thanks to expedia customer service!) everything else was brilliant. The views will be some of the best you'll see in Western Cape, and the staff and on-site manager are some of the kindest people we met on our trip. They gave us great recommendations and served us a wonderful breakfast. The owner's flexibility with us was also much appreciated. Overall, a really wonderful stay and we'd love to stay again in the future!

I was unhappy because nowhere in the details of the property did it state we had to check in by 5 o’clock. My wife and I drove three hours to get to the property only to find it locked up with no phone number to call and no way to contact the manager. The phone number listed through Expedia is the incorrect number. We lost our first day of stay at this location and no effort was made by the owner to rectify it. Also, the owner is not on site. It wasn’t until we read the fine print that it’s stated you must notify the owner if you’re going to be later than five pm. Even if we had found that information the phone number listed was incorrect. If it wasn’t for David at the Saxon Lodge down the road we would’ve been really in trouble. He put us up at his outstanding accommodations.

Unfortunately the guests arrived around 11h00 and without us being notified of their late intended arrival the house was already locked for the night. We have a live in manager on the property at all times. We have updated the incorrect telephone number on Expedia that caused the guest not being able to contact us and have refunded the guest in full for his inconvenience.'

Die Unterkunft besticht vor allem durch ihre sehr gute Lage direkt am Meer mit einem fantastischen Ausblick. Wer aber Privatsphäre erwartet wird hier enttäuscht. Gemeinsame Balkone, Zimmer die direkt an den Frühstücksraum gehen und eine zu übertrieben „hilfsbereite“ Fachkraft haben unseren Aufenthalt eher zweckmäßig gestaltet. Nichtsdestotrotz war das beobachten der Wale ein Erlebnis, würden aber im Zweifel beim nächsten Besuch eine Alternative suchen.

A Perl in Gansbay / De Kelder. The view to the Ocean watching the whales, dolphins and seals from the rooms balcony was a wonderful experience. Breakfast outside in the totally quiet environment just listening to the ocean was a real pleasure. Everything was well maintained and the luxury room we booked gave us a lot space. Ernisha, our host, took care of every single wish we had. Thank you Ernisha for the beautiful days.

We saw whales from the balcony almost every day! monika looked after us so well shs was so friendly and the room was beautiful. A very quiet but beautiful place to relax for a few days.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!
The view is amazing!! The homes is so warm and welcoming and perfectly decorated. Monica was wonderful and so helpful! We were greeted with several whales on arrival and loved just sitting out on the patio enjoying the ocean waves through our our stay. Will definitely book again

Deuxième fois dans cet hôtel et toujours un cadre magnifique. Une vue à couper le souffle, un petit déjeuner exquis. Un personnel présent mais discret. Dommage que l'ancienne cuisine soit transformée en chambre ce qui n'a pas le même chambre que l'autre du haut.

Adembenemend uitzicht !!
Wij verbleven hier 2 nachten begin februari 2019. Ontvangst door Angel is uitstekend ! Lokatie is adembenemend mooi, zeker wanneer je op de bovenste verdieping logeert. Angel raadt je ook 2 restaurants aan in de buurt die zeker de moeite waard zijn. Lokale keuken, één zelfs op wandelafstand ! Ontbijt is heerlijk, probeer zeker de huisspecialiteit omelet.

Sehr hübsche, individuell eingerichtete Zimmer. Drei liegen unten. Die beiden Zimmer im Obergeschoss haben tolle Aussicht auf das Meer und hier wird das gute Frühstück serviert. Leider gibt es aber keinen Pool. Managerin Monica kümmert sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Beste Lage zum Wale schauen mit super Frühstück
Die oberen Zimmer sinder Hammer. Der Ausblick ist überragend. Wir hatten auf dem Balkon der vor unserem Zimmer war, gefrühstückt und dabei den Walen zugesehen. Angel ist eine total liebe Frau, die auch unser Diner reservierte.

Kommen sehr gern wieder
Ein richtig tolles Hotel, sehr sauber, sehr gutes Zimmer, Blick vom Bett auf den Atlantik und die unglaugliche Dünenlandschaft davor. Haben das Glück gehabt, von unserer Terasse Wale und ihren Nachwuchs zu beobachten. Sehr gutes Frühstück auf der Aussenterasse und ein sehr aufmerksamer Service. Ist auf jeden fall zu emphehlen. sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis. Bei unserer nächsten Südafrika Rundreise werden wir auf jeden Fall dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

Hidden Gem - Delightful stay
Angel and Linda were fantastic hosts. This was a gem of a find and we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the area, spotted some whales bopping about in the calm waters from the balcony. The rooms were everything we expected, accurate to the photos provided and extremely homely. Angel's breakfast was delicious and the sweetest person we've come across on our trip so far. Hope to be back again soon!

Peace, quiet, views!
Amazing location with views over the bay from the deck, and even from the bed! Bathtub excellent size and great shower. Lovely breakfast, great granola. Underfloor heating essential for winter, made the room deliciously warm. The area is quiet – although this is very much low season, I imagine it's a bit busier other times of year – and the house is just across the road from the cliffs and the sea and a fantastic 1 hour walk down to the beaches of the Walker Bay reserve. Wifi was a bit patchy, and the bed, while nice and big with great bedding, showed some age, but still perfectly comfortable.

Nettes Guesthouse mit tollem Meerblick
Nettes Guesthouse, das einen traumhaften Blick auf die Bucht hat, in der man bereits morgens beim Frühstück in der Wal-Saison die Wale beobachten kann. Sehr nettes Verwalter-Ehepaar, das einem viele Tipps gibt und Reservierungen in Restaurants vornimmt. Der kleine "Pool" ist jedoch nicht nennenswert und gut hinterm Haus versteckt... Ansonsten ist in De Kelders jedoch allenfalls zur Hochsaison etwas los, in der übrigen Zeit wirkt es etwas trostlos.

schönes Guesthouse direkt am Ocean
das Guesthouse ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für die White Shark Cagediving Touren und Wandertouren am Cliffpath. Die Guesthousebetreiber sind super nett und der Service klasse. Das Frühstück ist auch klasse.

Toller Blick, nettes Zimmer und Service
Wir haben in einem der Zimmer unten übernachtet. Das Zimmer ist ausreichend groß, das Bad sehr großzügig und vor allem die Dusche nett ausgestattet. Die Suite oben liegt perfekt separat. Die beiden Zimmer unten liegen direkt am Frühstücksraum. Sobald dort Betrieb herrscht, ist ein Weiterschlafen in den unteren Räumen praktisch nicht mehr möglich.

Whale Watching B&B.
This is a small B&B that was picked for whale watching and it really delivered. It is immaculate, run by a charming hostess and as good as B&Bs get. We had the best room for whale watching from the balcony and could recommend this to others.

Whales at your doorstep!
I don't usually write reviews, but this guesthouse was just the best ever. The managers were extremely helpful with our travel plans, very nice, and very friendly. The rooms, beds, bathrooms, and general accomidationis were above average. The whales were close enough to ride!
