Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen, gaben gute Empfehlungen und kümmerten sich um unser Wohl. Das Zimmer war komfortabel und vom Balkon hatten wir einen tollen Ausblick.

Lovely welcoming guesthouse

Hous Giotto is a clean comfortable guest house, the owner Jeana was very welcoming and helpfully regarding info about the area and places to eat etc. The guest house is not within walking distances of the town center, but is only a few minutes by car. I would heartedly recommended this guesthouse

Happy family

The location and service is very good, with spacious and clean rooms. Walking along the shore among the fynbus bushes is higly recommended. Good breakfast and warm and welcoming hosts.

Wonderful hosts in lovely setting

My friends and I stayed here as we were booked for an early morning cage shark diving in Gansbaai. Easily found the place with GPS. Received a lovely welcome from the host. Room was very clean and pleasing. Had a microwave and fridge in the living area. Breakfast was lovely (eggs, mushrooms, cereal, yoghurt, muesli and fruits). Overall, a good stay.

Schönes Guesthouse - sehr zu empfehlen

Als wir abends ankamen wurden wir von Otto, dem Besitzer herzlich begrüsst. Auf die Nachfrage, was uns nach de kelders führt, haben wir ihm mitgeteilt, dass wir gerne Haitauchen gehen möchten und dies gebucht haben. Otto hat uns informiert, dass es leider seit 3 Wochen keine Haie mehr gibt - was sich leider auch bewahrheitet hat - hier als Anmerkung für alle nach uns Reisenden, fragen Sie am besten direkt bei der Zimmerbuchung ob Otto ihnen einen Tip geben kann, wo Sie Ihren Tauchgang buchen sollen - Sie sparen sich damit viel Ärger und Geld. Die Besitzer sind wahre "Fundgruben" für Tipps wo es das beste Restaurant, den schönsten Strand gibt oder was man sich in der Nähe ansehen sollte - ganz besonders herzliche,s und freundliche Gastgeber - vielen Dank nochmal. Das Guesthouse selbst ist sehr schön, unsere "Suite" war sehr gross, eigenes Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer, große Terrasse, Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne - und alles von der Hausherrin liebevoll dekoriert. Das uns empfohlene Restaurant war ein Supertipp selten so gut in Südafrika gegessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Super Unterkunft mit Wohlfühlcharakter

Während unserer Reise in Südafrika haben wir uns nie so wohl gefühlt wie im Haus Giotto. Super nette Gastgeber, die einen jeden Wunsch von den Fingern ablesen und mit vielen Tipps zur Seite stehen. Gina hatte bei unserer Ankunft direkt ein Abendessen im Gansbaai gebucht, da es sonst schon ausgebucht gewesen wäre, hätten wir es erst bei unserer Ankunft gebucht hätten. Und es war super lecker. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und super lecker. Zimmer sich groß und freundlich und sehr sauber. Alles im allen würde ich es wieder buchen und jedem empfehlen der in der Ecke Gansbaai oder Hermanus übernachten möchte.

Very nice guesthouse in De Kelders

We enjoyed our stay. The only negative is the fact that on the Hotels.com website is mentioned "Climate control" in the room. The weather was extremely hot, but there is no air conditioner, only a fan.

great place, beautiful view from balcony

Gina and Otto were very nice, informative and helpful, the living unit very comfortable and clean. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Very close to the seashore. Stayed two nights and enjoyed it very much.

Gleich zu Hause gefühlt

Wir waren für 2 Nächte bei Gina & Otto, die uns so herzlich in Empfang genommen haben, dass wir uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt haben. Das Gästehaus ist ein kleines Schmuckstück und bietet alles, was das Herz begehrt - inklusive Blick auf die - mit etwas Glück - springenden Wale in der Bucht. Egal welche Fragen wir hatten, zur Geschichte des Ortes, nach guten Restaurants, Tipps für die Umgebung oder auch einem Adapter - Gina & Otto wussten Rat. Sie sind einzigartig. An dieser Stelle noch einmal ein großes Dankeschön von uns. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Sehr freundliche Vermieter mit sehr schönem Zimmer

Dieses B&B ist wirklich einfach nur empfehlenswert. Wenn ich wieder nach DeKelders fahren sollte, dann würde ich garnicht erst nach einer Alternative suchen, da der Empfang sehr freundlich und herzlich gewesen ist, wir gute Tipps zum gucken der Wale vom Land aus bekommen haben, einen tollen Tipp zum Essen gehen und dass es auch dort Waltouren gibt bei denen man sogar zusätzlich Weiße Haie noch sehen kann. Nur der Tipp die Dirt Road zu fahren war nicht ganz so toll, da man auf der Teerstraße zwar weiter fährt aber besser und im Endeffekt gleich schnell ist aber das Auto sauber bleibt. Aber nicht jeder Tipp muss für jeden gut sein und alles andere war wirklich perfekt.

Schöne saubere und ruhige Unterkunft

Hatte mich bei der online Buchung um glatte 14 Tage vertan.Da wären wir bereits wieder zu Hause gewesen. Doch im Hause Giotto wurden wir nicht nur sehr herzlich empfangen, sondern auch trotz meines Versehens sofort eine Lösung gefunden.Auch konnten wir noch eine Nacht länger hier verbringen als geplant war. Das Haus und die Einrichtungen der Zimmer sind modern und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Alles ist gepflegt und sehr sauber.Das Zimmer was wir hatten,besaß einen sehr großzügigen Balkon mit Blick auf`s Meer.Haben uns bei Gina und Otto wie zu Hause gefühlt und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Wer in Gansbaai nach einer Unterkunft sucht, sollte auf jeden Fall das Haus Giotto wählen.

Lovely B&B

Lovely B&B to stay at - Gina and Otto are fabulous hosts. The room was spacious and quiet and even had access to a terrace on first floor. Great memories of Gansbaai and the friendly atmosphere at breakfast - we do look forward to coming back. Regards from cold Germany!
