Great Hosts, wonderful atmosphere and very comfortable. I live in Whitehorse and travel to Dawson for work, I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

This is a well-maintained property and the owners are hands on. The only issue I had was that the restaurant was closed and I'm told the food is excellent. I was there in the off season so the rooms weren't full, but it was extremely quiet. They have shoes off policy which helps a lot with noise. It's walking distance everywhere.

this is a lovely classy hotel. We stayed in the annex next door to the main hotel. It has only 4 rooms. Our room was on the second level and was very large and clean but there is no TV in the room although there is a 'family' room on the main floor with a TV to share. It was hot the day we were there and this room did not have A/C

Great stay at the Aurora Inn. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Check-in was amazingly quick and friendly. The attached restaurant served us an amazing meal. Would definitely recommend the Inn and restaurant and WOULD definitely stay there again when or if we return to Dawson City. R&L

We understand why the edict to take off shoes was presented.. but wearing crocs worn by how many other folks was a bit disheartening. It required a large measure of trust to believe the loaner crocs were disinfected each night! Nice to have a good restaurant attached.

Clean and Renovated

There are not a lot of hotels in Dawson City and this one looked good. The hotel has been renovated and looks good but has some downside things like the lack of blackout curtains to block the extremely long daylight hours when trying to sleep (a blanket over the windows helps) and a house rule to take off your shoes in the lobby before going to your room (you can use the hotel's Crocs if you care to) making moving into your room quite awkward especially if you have to make multiple trips to the car.

Nice motel with excellent location

Clean and confortable room, a kitchen for all guests, nice lobby and hallway. Restaurant in same building. Centrally located so most attractions are walkable distance. Friendly stuff.

Our room was clean and adequate for our needs. A lightbulb needed changing and it was changed very promptly. One suggestion is to have a couple of chairs for sitting on (there was one wood desk chair) to watch the television. A very minor drawback was noise through the walls from the kitchen area other than that, we would recommend the Aurora Inn to others.

A Home from Home.

I would and have already recommend this lovely Hotel. Everyone was welcoming and made us feel at home. The lounge area is comfortable and we enjoyed the constant supply of coffee, every kind of tea you could imagine and hot chocolate.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und doch nicht direkt im Zentrum (keine Lärmbelastung). Die Zimmer sind sauber, es sind Hausschuhe für alle Gäste vorhanden, Tipps und Informationen werden gerne geteilt, das zugehörige Restaurant ist empfehlenswert, es gibt viel zu sehen in und um Dawson City

Excellent Northern Experience

I transit between Inuvik, NWT and Whitehorse in the Yukon at least 3-4 times yearly and always stay on Dawson on way south and back north. This as my first stay at Aurora Inn and it will be my number stay in Dawson City moving forward. The cleanliness is simply incredible for a place located in the north. The owner and staff members are simply so giving and friendly.

Nicest stay in Dawson in 9 years

Been travelling back and forth from Inuvik to Whitehorse for nearly 9 years, 3-4 times a year and always sleeping in Dawson. First time at the Aurora but will now be our regular stay. Very clean accommodation, smiling staff, feels like home, pleasant and calm, make your won coffee and tea, overall great. Even asked the owner for some business cards as I will freely give them to friends who also stay in Dawson regularly and have the same complaint I have, the accommodations are old, ill maintained and usually smelly. The Aurora has you remove your shoes upon entering the premises since Dawson City is muddy, simple another mindset that is great to feel. Congratulations on having such a welcoming business, with a smile
