Top Dalry Library Hotel Reviews
Nith Riverside Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Cottage is in a good position overlooking the river and what is really good is the secure rear garden for letting our dogs out, a terrier and an escape artist aka a beagle. The cottage had everything we required and was clean, comfortable and had a great shower."
Booktown Bunkhouse
8/10 Good
"Poor contact in arranging further bookings. Person in charge could not be contacted for further booking. Phoned 2 days after enquiry when l was at home."
Cally Palace Hotel & Golf Course
10/10 Excellent
"The period furnishings and decor in the lounges were very impressive. Some areas of the property are looking a little tired, but the Cally Palace have an abundance of excellent staff. They were all so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them - definitely 5* staff. We had a lovely large bedroom, with great views at the rear. We had four evening meals in the dining room which were really good and the Cullen skink was excellent. Cally Palace was a great base for our four day break in a really lovely part of the country. Thank you to everyone at the Cally Palace."
Nithsdale Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely place good food. Room was immaculate would go back again"
The Cross Keys Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent hotel clean throughout, staff very friendly and helpful breakfast delicious"
The Crown Hotel
8/10 Good
"The staff are amazing, as is the food and drink. It’s clean, but in my opinion it’s a little stuck in the 80’s. I’ve heard of apexing on a ceiling, but never a wall, could really do with a lick of paint to say the least. Nonetheless, clean and tidy enough to stay."
Ernespie House Hotel
8/10 Good
"Nice room, pleasant staff, only issue was that the shower took an age to get warm and when it did the pressure was literally zero, room 21"
The Kings Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Good breakfast and the restaurant was really good"
Imperial Hotel
8/10 Good
"My friend and I spent Wednesday night there, and received a VERY friendly welcome from a nice lady at the reception desk. Unfortunately, there are no lifts and the stairs are rather steep and spiral too, which as two elderly men with walking sticks we found quite hazardous with our luggage. When we got to our room, which was on the first floor, the light in the shower room and loo was broken, resulting in complete darkness with the door shut. I went back and spoke to the lady who had welcomed us and her surprise at the light not working seemed 100% genuine and she apologised profusely and said she would "get it fixed". Then she very quickly and efficiently got us moved to another room, also on the first floor, which was absolutely perfect. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and friendliness but disabled people need to be aware of the stairs."
