The staff appeared happy, were very friendly and thoughtful. They made you feel at home and assisted with any needs. I absolutely loved the decor and beautiful character of the rooms and foyer. Everything was of high quality and one of the best buffet breakfasts I’ve had with a range of Asian western and healthy food choices

The staff were lovely, especially Clara, the young lady who checked us in. Super sweet and helpful. The hotel is in walkable distance to the ancient town and the room is relatively spacious for two.

Absolutely loved it! Sam and Brownie were amazing and so sweet. Its in a good location, adorable clean rooms and the breakfast buffet was out of this world.

A perfect little gem
I spent many days searching for that 'little gem' hotel for our stay in Hoi An and I was certainly delighted with my choice. La Residencia is delightful in every way. The staff are charming, polite and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is spotlessly clean with character and charm. The rooms are large, well appointed & beds very comfortable indeed (a big bonus point for that!) Breakfast is plentiful with an excellent choice and again the staff very attentive. Location is good and an easy stroll into the main part of town and river. Also a very good tailor opposite. I purposefully wanted a smaller hotel rather than the usual grand dames I frequent in Ho Chi Minh City. I'm also in the travel industry which makes me doubly critical of every detail from cleanliness to customer service, food and a good comfy bed. Well done La Residencia, you're a perfect little gem of a hotel and we all enjoyed our stay immensely.

Since There aren’t too many reviews about this hotel in hotels.com website, I checked tripadvisor reviews. There are somany reviews that oddly talking about specific person’s names. For example, I liked Kevin’s room service was excellen! .. Really?? I thought it was really weired and I know how thaf happen after I visited this hotel. When I was having breakfast, someone came to me and pour some water. And I said thank you and she told me her name and asked me to leave a review about her. Same thing happens at the spa as well. It was really tired. Overall the hotel isnt too bad but it is really tiring.

Outstanding hotel experience
An outstanding hotel experience. My family stayed 3 nights in June, 2019. Even though the heat index was 100F (ie, 40C) outside, the room had excellent temperature control day and night. We kept the room temperature at 18C (70F), and we were quickly refreshed after time outside in the old part of Hoi An. Room was spacious and clean. Modern bathroom. Small refrigerator for cooling down our water bottles. Superb breakfast was included in room rate, including a broad assortment of Western and Asian foods, plus very good Vietnamese “white coffee”. Very friendly staff. They noticed from passport inspection that my son had a birthday during our stay, and surprised us at breakfast with a large birthday cake for him (plus a bouquet of roses). When we checked out at 6am on our last day, they surprised us again with a couple tart, bagged breakfast. Overall, one of the very best hotel experiences we have experienced in world travel.

We stayed there for one night and got a free upgraded room, that’s very good! The room is well furnished, clean and cozy! I love the balcony! It’s very relaxing to sit there. The location of the hotel is great, as it is close to the old town The reception staff, Sam, was very nice and cheerful! She proactively introduced us the hotel facilities and recommended us places to go in Hoi An. The breakfast there is also great, I love the omelette and noodle soup! I hope can spend a few more days there so that I can enjoy the spa and join the cooking class. The prices seem reasonable. Highly recommend this hotel!

Comfortable good value hotel
We stayed here 4 years ago and enjoyed our stay at the La Residencia so much we decided to return for a week in Hoi An. A lot has happened in the last 4 years, Hoi An itself has become extremely busy, mainly with Chinese tourists and the area this hotel is in, unfortunately, has become a giant coach car park in the daytime, when the tours come in from Da Nang added to this a new hotel has been built completely surrounding the hotel, which has now lost its river view, the rooms they describe as lantern view are rooms that have a balcony but have the wall of the newly built hotel covered in a sort of fence with lanterns hanging on it about 6 feet from your balcony, see photo, making the rooms dark and claustrophobic, we stayed only one night in one of these rooms and asked to be moved to a room at the front, the lantern view rooms are only any good for one or two nights, it really is a shame as the staff are wonderful and the rooms are nice and comfortable and the ambiance of the hotel is good. The only other thing is there are no decent restaurants in the surrounding area, these have all gone since our last visit and now become Spas and massage places, it's such a shame as Hoi An itself is still a lovely place to visit.

This hotel is fantastic. All of the staff are super friendly & helpful & always smiling & asking how our day was. They also provided great suggestions for where to go & what to do in Hoi An & marked everything out on the map for us. The breakfasts at the hotel were delicious & contained a nice mix of Vietnamese & Hoi An specialities as well as Western food. The staff went out of their way to make sure the coffee was hot & that we knew which sauces went with which dishes to get the most out of our meal. The happy hour in the evening was great with half price cocktails & fantastic service. The room was huge with a separate lounge area and big, comfy bed. The bathroom had a great shower & big deep bath.

We had an amazing 3 nights at La Residencia in Hoi An. The hotel is in a great location, has fantastic rooms with comfortable beds, large bathroom and a very enjoyable breakfast. The service from staff is impeccable and Sunny in particular was so hospitable, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Shr gave us loads of good information that made our stay so enjoyable. Cannot recommend highly enough, we would definately choose this hotel again.

The best hotel of our trip!
Don't miss this hotel! We had a 5 star experience throughout. Staff went above and beyond with any request, room was beautiful and spacious, breakfast varied and excellent. Easy shuttle several times a day to and from the beach, short stroll into old town. We had a lantern view room, which means the view from the balcony was of a narrow outside area filled with the traditional beautiful lanterns hung throughout the area. We would absolutely stay again and recommend to all!

Perfect Hoi An Stay
Absolutely perfect stay in Hoi An. 5 min walk from the old town. Free bike hire. The staff are so welcoming and careing about how you’re stay is. Dora looked after us and was perfect. We had massages at the spa - the best we’ve had in Vietnam. The hotel is so clean and comfortable. If we come back to Hoi An, we will stay here!

Location was quite alright, a few minutes walk from the Old Town. Amenities were good, yet cleanliness is an issue. I found a large light brown stain on my bed sheet, dead bugs and hair next to the bathtub, and dried tooth paste on the sink faucet. I was not informed that I had to keep and return my magnetic room key card, therefore, I left them in my room while checking-out. For this, I was charged an extra 100,000vnd since they were assumed as lost. The hotel aesthetic is charming, cozy colonial style. Breakfast provided ample of choices both local, national and western dishes. Ready solid work on what could be a great hotel!

I’m amazed by the customer service provided by staff. They provided my friends and I free bicycles to the beach with map and clear direction. A friend of my burned the iron accidentally and the hotel didn’t claim anything on us but helped her to iron her dress. The next day we checked out late and staff was still very happy and helpful . My friend forgot her passport and other important papers in the hotel and we only knew about that when we arrived at the hotel in Da Nang which was 30km far from Hoi An. We made a call to the hotel and they found those papers. The next morning a guy from the hotel brought her papers to our hotel in Da Nang. We really appreciated their help, kindness and effort. The breakfast was fanty with local food. I will come back for sure.

Very pleasant hotel near the old town of Hoi An
My wife and I had 4 nights at La Residencia. Very spacious room, clean, ample hot water shower. substantial breakfast with lots of choices and above all very pleasant and helpful staff. It has a swimming pool which we never got around to using. We would stay there again and recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.
