The staff was lovely and helpful. The room was mostly clean, but when we moved an ottoman in front of a chair, there were dried crumbled that looked like ramen noodles under it, which made me think the cleaning staff wasn't as thorough. Overall it was a pleasant stay, and the kids loved the pool.

Overnight in Cumberland

We stayed overnight. Parking was easy. Area looked safe. Staff was great and the hot breakfast was good to eat prior to leaving on our journey back. The interior especially the carpet looked a little dated but clean. There was a musty smell on initially entering the room that went away with turning on the AC.

One of the best Holiday Inn Express’ we have stayed in! Could smell the clean when you walked in and the front desk was super pleasant and so sweet. Room was very clean, comfy bed as always here. Highly recommend!

Stayed for one night and the hotel felt very clean. Didn't have that strange hotel odor that some places have. The staff was friendly. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool. We arrived later in the evening, so it was nice that the pool was open till 11pm. I was happy with the room and would stay here again.

The staff was amazing! Super kind & helpful! The hotel was really easy to find and get into/out of. It was located by a main road & convenient to restaurants, shops, & gas station. However, the property felt like it was older & they tried to refurbish over it. The area was a bit noisy at night.

Great stay

Really enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Express La Vale MD. Hotel appears to be pretty new based on the condition of all the facilities. Breakfast was the best we’ve seen by far. Pool and hot tub area excellent. Room was nice, comfortable and spacious. Only negative was room being near breakfast area, lobby, ice machine and a large meeting - so there was some noise on occasion. Next time we stay there -and we will- we’ll ask for another location.

It was good enough.

The individual that checked us in was very nice and helpful! The room was mostly clean, though we did find a vape from a previous customer. The king size bed was nice and comfortable, though a little stiff side. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, but most are. There was a large selection of breakfast items such as cheese omelets, egg white and veggie omelets, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, sausage links, bacon, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, pastries, juice, coffee, and water. We felt safe at the hotel and enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was good.
