"Ladie at front desk was nice , room was clean and elegant, came with simple amenties , and the beach was right next door. We had to go to galveston for food spots though only downside and wait for the ferry, which felt like a eternity.Also has a place to sit downstairs."

"They basically have everything you need. The only recommendations I have are bring a can opener and containers for food. My favorite part was the margarita blender and karaoke machine down stairs. Very nice touch!"

"Absolute best place to stay, especially if you're going on one of the cruise ships located at the adjoining piers. Excellent location in the historic area of Galveston with everything you need within walking distance or trolley service. Hotel was very clean with amazing staff; especially Dee who is one of the nicest, friendliest and most accommodating hotel staff associates I've ever had the pleasure to deal with."

"This is a beautiful place rich with history and architecture. Amazing breakfast."

"Great stay here! Quiet, comfortable, and good location--walkable to many places. Parking was no problem, although this was on a weekday. Kitchen available with a refrigerator to store any food, or drinks. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, with a balcony that would be great in cooler weather. Communication was also no problem and everything was easy to access as per the shared texts."

"The parking situation at the hotel is non existent. So you are forced to valet or drive around the Strand until you find parking on the street. My vehicle sustained damage that I noticed after using the valet and the hotel investigated and said it was pre-existing damage which was not the case. I used to enjoy staying here but not at the expense of my vehicle and the rooms had a damp smell as well."

"keys didn't work properly, had to go back and forth trying to get in our room. we have stayed in hotels for years and never had such a problem with keys. maybe you should check that entry."

"If you don’t allow dogs, don’t say you’re pet friendly and certainly don’t turn away paid guests at the door."
