"Lovely well maintained modern rooms with sparkling bathroom and plenty of hot water for great shower. Nice to see eco facilities. Breakfast and dinner were superb and akin to gastro pub quality and generously portioned. We wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we visit family in the area. "A very pleasant surprise as a solo guest. Needed an overnight stay for an event in Abergavenny, went with no expectations, just needed a comfortable, clean place and that's what I got. "This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience.
I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away.
My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating...

A customer from the pub immediately offered to help with luggage showing really good connection between local customers and the staff
Rooms to a very high standard - no aircon but a fan was made available on request
