"The check is was effortless. Ian was very helpful employee. You can see he loves his job. Very knowledgeable of the area to offer dinner possibilities. The beds were heaven so soft and warm. . The air conditioning system was excellent. Breakfast was surprisingly extra good. A hot meal breakfast. The oatmeal bar was yummy. The bacon and potatoes. Thank ya’ll for taking care of me and my 84 year old mother."

"The room was very clean. I loved the full refrigerator/freezer and the dish washer. More silverware would have been useful. The room phone did not work. I had to call the front desk using my cellphone. The pool was closed, no reason given. This was very disappointing. In addition, the men's toilet near the gym was unflushed with a toilet seat cover placed over the seat. A sign should have been placed on the door and the door locked until repairs were completed. The gym lacked a lat bar that is shown on its website. Our room was at the opposite end of the hotel from the main entrance, presumably because we had a dog. We could leave our room on the 2nd to exit the building, but could not return to our room using this elevator since it only stops at the 4th floor. We had to go to the main entrance (which was a long walk) to get back to our room. The elevator system should be able to use room cards to allow the elevator to stop at the 2nd and 3rd floors. The 4th floor bar and grill was very nice and the prices reasonable. It was loud, though, even with very few people. All that said, the price was very fair and we would stay again."

"The hotel is unique and wonderful. It is an unmanned property, so you won’t necessarily see another person while you’re there. You’ll receive a door code when you arrive, and instructions on where to find the key to your room. There is a large common room with kitchen facilities and room to gather and relax. Our room was large, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The ceiling fan helped to keep us comfortable, as did the air conditioning unit with a remote control. Shampoo, conditioner body wash and hand soap were all provided, If we every happen to pass through Okemah, OK again, we will definitely stay at the Velvet Woody!"
