"The cottage is a bit tired but well equiped, clean and comfortable. The instructions to find the key were terrible! it says get them from a key safe padlocked to the front railings at the front of the house and they were at the back, attached to the house. Google maps cannot find the address so we followed the instructions given. It mentions a car show room that it is not there anymore (a convenient Tesco instead). "Lovely location…breakfast was very nice with good options ..we booked The Beach but were given a room at The Edge. Which is one building away…walked over for breakfast. The room was honestly so small…we had a couple of cabin bags and there wasn’t any floor space for them…no where to sit…nowhere to put anything in the bathroom…shampoo was on the floor of the shower as no shelves…felt claustrophobic in the room with a view over Sainsbury’s car park. No sound proofing …we could hear bathrooms all around. There is parking but it is tricky and we needed to pay to park at the beginning of our stay…It’s a premium price to stay here and just felt really disappointed as had been recommended by friends. Tried to take a photo to demonstrate but difficult to do in such a small space."

Croyde Bay Holiday Resort

"Absolutely fantastic stay at Croyde, the staff and facilities were excellent. There were so many activities available, with no fuss at all, everything was laid out already e.g. mini golf, table tennis, badminton and many more. Despite being August and fully booked, nothing felt too busy; the pool was relatively quiet both times we used it. The only possible fault I could find, is the lack of Air Con in the hotel room, but that was reflected in the price and there was also a fan provided in the room."
