"We have stayed at the hotel twice now and both times we have enjoyed the great hotel location in downtown, and the wonderful staff. The rooms are spacious and clean."
"The "Warehouse" was a unique Place.
It was a large Room with Tall Ceiling and very nicely decorated. I stayed in Room#1.
The location of the Gibson Warehouse was in the old downtown historic section of Staunton. Revitalized, brightly illuminated, Great resturant right underneath the Hotel part - Byers Street Bistro - great food and service.
I will be stayomg there again on my next trip through."
"Clean room . A bit dated but large . Fridge was already cold which was nice . Pool looked inviting though we didn’t use . It’s a bit out of the way from restaurants but breakfast was very good . Good value for money"
"The staff was very helpful when we ride in on our motorcycles in the middle of a heat wave. The host allowed us to come in and get our gear off to cool down while we waited for our room to be ready. She was super helpful and got us in an hour early, which was amazing after 8 hours of riding in the heat. The room was very clean and quiet. Bathroom was clean and stocked. The bed was super cozy. We left at 4 am to continue our ride but the morning staff allowed us to fill out water bottles and get drinks from the cafety while it was closed, since we had to leave so early. We will def be stopping here again on the way back home."
"Upon checking in, the staff was friendly. Check in at 4pm vs 3pm as other hotels allow was done for us br seemed late for getting freshened up and ready to go out and enjoy the town.
Our room, which was a suite, smelled of dog. The sofa, which hosted a pull out bed whch my child was going to sleep on, had stains on it and did not smell good. We figured we wouldn't make a big deal because we were only staying one night. The bathroom which was big and beautiful was dirty. There was either makeup or something on the baseboards and walls and someone had wadded up a big hunk of toilet paper and threw it up to stick it on the ceiling. The room only had one towel but I walked down the hall and asked the staff for more which she was happy to provide me additional towels.
Overall, for one night, it was fine. The building itself is beautiful and historic and interesting The bathroom and room were nicely appointed but as a "high-end" inn, it was not as clean and inviting as other hotels we had stayed in at different portions of our trip which were definitely less expensive."
