"Lovely hotel in the middle of town. Public parking across the street. The rooms are spacious. Bathrooms are modern. The breakfast was delicious and ample to start your day. We booked dinner reservations and it was one of our best meals in England. "

"Our stay at the Lansdowne was wonderful- Corrine and Casey couldn’t have been more lovely and welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious and the room was very comfortable, although a tad small for two of us. The building was built mid-1800’s and there is no lift — if you have mobility issues request a ground floor room. "

"Beautiful room in an incredible location. Loved the little patio off the room (Room #11). Staff were amazing!! Breakfast was wonderful with many choices including a delicious porridge and breakfast tea with little pastries. All outstanding!! Would definitely recommend. "

"In an area where there are countless little country hotels, this is a real gem of a find. The staff are incredibly kind, warm and welcoming; food is served all day and is absolutely delicious; the bedrooms are incredibly comfortable and well thought through; and the breakfast buffet is simply delightful!"
