"Great 2-night stay @ this pet-friendly hotel right on 50. Named after a famous Salida dog "Loyal Duke" from the late 1800's. Room was decent, but had a few small things that need to be improved or fixed. Good things were shower, A/C system, windows for flow-thru air, back view - saw deer nightly & fairly quiet area - walked up the side road & saw several more deer. Had a nice firepit & bbq area in the back with lots of seating & nice atmosphere. Pool was a bit cold - one of us could handle it...Lol, but we both loved the hot tubs & there are 3!! 2 outside on the deck & 1 inside. Continental breakfast was adequate - oatmeal, yogurt, HB eggs, cinnamon toast, peanut butter, regular coffee, teas. No decaf coffee though...a lot of folks can't do caffeine. Would stay here again!!"
