"Needing a last-minute overnight stay, we booked this property and honestly weren't expecting much. However, from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the pristine condition and how well cared for everything was. "Loved this place, was very quiet and relaxing with the nice swimming area ( river ) for the kids . Lovely Hosts . The accommodation was nice , I stayed in the one bedroom cottage , it had everything we needed . Will definitely go back and I would recommend this place to friends and family . Older style accommodation but cosy and well equipped 👌. "

"A beautiful location for a laid back vacation. Close enough to the village centre to walk. Lots of places nearby to explore, Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, Cook's Beach. We were there in the off-season so we understandand, but getting dinner each night was a bit of a challenge with only one restaurant (which was off-site) open."

"The bed was too hard for me but I had recently had surgery. Normally a hard bed wouldn’t bother me. I thought the motel was great clean roomy everything one needs it would be great place to stay in summer with the deck and views. Friendly motelier. "

"This was the second time staying here. This time was during the winter, while the first was in the summer. This is a nice place to stay with clean and spacious rooms. Flat and easy walking distance to Buffalo beach, Ferry landing and town centre. The heater in the room was very efficient at keeping the temperature warm during cold mornings and nights. "Fantastic place, charming, quiet, Terry a great host/owner; beautiful location 2.5 km walk to downtown Tairua but pitch dark at night, glad I had a reflector vest Basics in place for cooking, TV has Netflix, prime and good channels. Water across the street, complimentary kayaks and shovels for hot beach ( but I was late getting there) Great base to take off in day trips Definitely my go to should I ever return."
