"Staying at Idle awhile cliff is a great stay, however be aware of the very idle vibe. Things are extremely relaxed. Most people go out for dinner in the evenings, so staff is normally gone by 7pm on the dot. This property has so much potential but I am afraid it’s a tad bit neglected because it is the smaller of the 3 properties. The concept of the room is amazing. "I actually did not stay. The property was not up to the standards that I like in a hotel. I put in a refund with Azul which was granted. I was only on property for approximately 45 minutes. Property is old. They only were serving hamburgers for lunch. Definitely not the level of hotel which i would stay in. The online looked good and reviews read decent, but the actual hotel was not up to par."

Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay - All Inclusive

"My biggest issue with RIU Palace Negril was the cost of adding a guest. Before arriving, I checked online and spoke with RIU representatives, who indicated it would cost about $400 to add someone to my room. I was told I couldn't modify my reservation because the hotel was sold out, even though I wasn't changing rooms - I wanted to add a guest. When I arrived, I was informed the actual cost would be over $800. At that point, I had no realistic choice but to pay it. Had I known the true cost in advance, I would have made a different decision. My room was about $1,100, so for only a few hundred dollars more my guest could have had their own room and bed. Other issues included: The room I selected with two beds was not provided, forcing my friend and me to share a bed. The A/C was not adjustable. The TV didn't work. There were only two outlets in the room. My reservation was changed when I added a guest, and I couldn't check in without them present. A fire alarm went off at 6:51 a.m. The floor outside our room stayed wet throughout our stay despite reporting it. Food quality was below expectations. Only one bar remained open after 6 p.m., and it consistently smelled like sewage. The pool closed at 6 p.m. Taxi prices were excessive—about $40 per person for a 15-minute ride. Overall, I left feeling frustrated by the pricing practices and disappointed by the overall experience and the hotels communication. Confirm all pricing and room arrangements in writing before booking."

Ocean Eden Bay - Adults Only - All inclusive

2/10 Terrible

"No A/C for the first two days of my 4 day stay. Housekeeping stole my one of a kind “braid” shower cap. When I reported it, no one cared. Buffet was the best place to eat. All other restaurants were bland or just downright nasty tasting. The Steakhouse was horrible. Hibachi grill (Shakura ) was okay. Definitely not worth the $1700.88 I spent. Save yourself the headache and money and go elsewhere. Mist of the staff was professional and friendly but the ones who weren’t should find another job. Pool is only 3 ft deep so no swimming. If you’re privileged you can go to the ocean but make sure you have swimming shoes because the rocks in the water will cut you. Check In was very unorganized, there’s always a line no matter what time of day you go to talk to someone. Room Service does not answer calls so it’s non existent. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON’T GO TO OCEAN EDEN BAY ADULTS ONLY. GARBAGE RESORT AND COMPOUND."
