Madelena ‘s shows signs of once being great but it’s way off now. They should close the back rooms so guests don’t see the laundry drying and block off the area under construction. Get rid of all the broken stuff; chairs, lounges, bar stools. Cover the empty pool and get a gardener to prune everything. The 2 staff members we saw seem unsupported and poorly managed. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food but the included breakfast at 8:30 was very late so we left.

Vista sul mare e camera spaziosa

Posto davvero molto bello camere eccellenti,personale gentile, bollitore in camera senza tazze o accessori, ad ogni modo alla richiesta le hanno fornite.colazione migliorabile, nel complesso la posizione sul mare è davvero notevole e la stanza ampia e confortevole

We spent two days there. Pros: nice staff, adequate breakfast with homemade bread & yogurt, cereals, fresh watermelon, and hard boiled eggs. Fresh juice, tea & instant coffee. The terrace is spacious and offers a phenomenal view of the ocean with a spectacular sunset. We had dinner there for our last night and it was wonderful. The prices are comparable to those around the area if not lower, but the food there is way better with most of it being homemade, including the drinks, which were very well done with a full bar. The cons: there’s only parking for maybe eight cars at the most. So if you don’t get a parking spot, you end up on the street, which is very risky. The drive there is a bit confusing and you better be a good driver because streets aren’t the greatest. Our room was very Spartan. The showers extremely small. They provide a stove, but there isn’t anything provided to cook on top of it. There was a refrigerator that was bigger than a mini, but one bottled water after a long trip would’ve been a nice touch and even paper cups would have sufficed, but there was nothing. Our balcony provided no view, except our neighbors to our left, which was a little invasive and I like my privacy. Facing forward was nothing but trees that blocked any view. They really need to keep up the grounds. Everything was overgrown and cleaning products we’re left out in abundance. The stairs to our room were not made for someone of an older age. Extremely narrow. With partial stairs.

Guest house con vista mare unica

Stanza con vista sul mare. Una meraviglia! Ospitalità eccellente. Locanda unica con una grande terrazza vista mare e tramonto, piatti tradizionali buoni, prezzi nella media. A 2 passi bellissima spiaggia attrezzata e non con mare super. Sicuramente un posto in cui tornerei. Una guest house di tutto rispetto. Colazione ok (poco varia ma pane buono)

Exceptionnel

Un superbe sejour avec une vue de rève et un personnel tres gentil Je n'ai vu une vue pareille. La plage a 3 mn a pieds , une eau crystalline . A seulement 20 mn de Corfou..exceptionnel !!!

- Zimmer alt und renovierungsbedürftig - Frühstück sehr einfach - Service gab sich Mühe - schöne Außenanlage - preislich für 1 Nacht mit 85 Euro überzogen - Adresse von Expedia völlig falsch, Unterkunft ist nicht im Altstadtkern von Pelekas, sondern 30 min Fusweg zum Strand - für Wanderer auf dem Corfutrail nicht empfehlenswert

A luxurious hostel by the sea

What an end to a 6 week pilgrimage -to Nekromanteion- I looked forward to ending the trip in some sort of style ... An expensive room does not equate to excellent service... I have never paid over £40 for a room p/n. As this was the last part of my trip I imagined paying+extra for a greater service experience+for a sea balcony as advertised@hotels. A huge disappointment made possible by the fact that Hotels.com do not allow your number/contact details to be revealed when you call the hotel. Something I learnt afterwards that leads to a real communication problem: *Hotel owners need to be aware that when they say they will come to collect you,that they have the courtesy and sense to take your number in advance!!!to avoid any errors along the way. Of course the client is vulnerable in the sense that they do not know where they are going and can end up with greater inconvenience than imagined. This then leads to a breakdown of trust and thwarts would could have been a positive travelling experience* As well hotel.com did not locate the hotel correctly on the map!!therefore my taxi &I were lost for a good half an hour up the village looking for the property. Something again that the hotel management need to be made aware of. Making the client also wait 30+ minutes when they finally do arrive, as they 'prepare the room' at 10.30pm !?when the room was available from 2pm is not good! Hotels.com could lose them great business and trust due to these simple misguided logistics.

10/10 would come again!

Madalena was very lovely and welcoming. We really enjoyed our short stay here and the sunsets are really stunning. The beach is a very short walk away and is well kept. Try one of her ice coffee's!
