Breakfast was good, and the location, reception, and dining area were also satisfactory. However, the room was disappointing. The carpet had an unpleasant odor, and there was a broken iron and ironing board stored in the wardrobe. Additionally, the water pressure was very low, which made showering time-consuming. Overall, I don’t think the stay was worth the money.

This is a large hotel with a large car park. The main car park is often full but there is an overflow carpark a little bit further round the hotel. You must register your number plate with the hotel immediately as the private parking company that looks after the car park patrol frequently. The rooms are clean and tidy (a bit like a Travelodge) with a kettle and some tea /instant coffee. Nice clean bathroom and we had a superior double room which had a view out over the harbour rather than towards the city. It is well.located.for public transport and we chose to walk for 10 minutes to get the waterbus in to Copenhagen each day. We did get the Metro home a couple of times and this was easy and quite close to the hotel. The breakfast was amazing. You do have to book a time and it finishes at about 9.30am but there is a plentiful supply and it flows well even at busy times.

The hotel overall is great. The breakfast is big and there are enough options that get well restocked. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean. Also there is no noise coming from other rooms which is quite nice Only thing missing in the room was a mini fridge so we could cool some drinks. The hotel is a little bit on the noisy side due to between a busy road and the train tracks which means if you sleep with windows open, you might wake up due to the sounds.

It is 5 minutes walk from the metro station and it takes totally 15-20 minutes to go the center. The continental breakfast was nice. The hotel was decorated nicely, the furniture seemed new and modern. The bathroom was good. Our room was clean. There was no AC, but there was a fan in the room.

One day we wanted to have a third bed in one of our rooms because of an illness in another room. It was no problem and we didn't had to pay for the extravagance. Apart from this we had a wonderful view from our window. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Scandic Sluseholmen and a great time in Copenhagen.

Service with a smile

The reception staff was very accomodating. They always had a smile when we had a favor or request. We also had dinner one night at the restaurant/bar and the wait staff was wonderful as well. The rooms did not have refrigerators so we were often asking for ice to keep our drinks and medicine cool and they always had a smile on their face while doing this for us. The comfort only got 4 stars because the rooms did not have AC and we really prefer a cool room, even when the weather is 75 F.

Clean, breakfast was good- lots of variety. We booked a family room which didn’t have enough room to swing a cat. It was hotter than the sun in the room which made sleeping incredibly difficult. There was no air con just a desk fan to circulate the hot air. It wasn’t even hot outside. There were no coffee and tea making facilities in the room which was very disappointing. We booked the hotel because it had a hot tub however there was no mention of having to pay extra for this. We had a very excited 9 year old who wanted to go in it but refused to pay even more money. We were really looking forward to our stay but left very disappointed which is a shame because it is in a good location. The information given at booking totally misrepresents what is included.
