The room was incredibly clean and had great views in the midst of Storm Amy of the waves etc. When shutting the shower door, one side of the glass completely shattered. Obviously very embarassing as it's a sliding bi folding door so impossible to slam etc. The lady working on reception immediately moved us to a different room and contacted a first aider. "Sheena, the manager, greeted us at check-in welcoming us to The Kelvin. We always stay here when we come to Oban. The location can't be beat, right next to the ferry terminal and the train station, shops and restaurants within minutes of walking out the door. The staff here is always friendly and the bar is one of the coziest in town. This is always a winner. "

"Fantastic welcome from reception staff who were very friendly. Managed to find a space in the small car park at the back which was a . As I walked up the stairs, I was slightly worried as the carpets are extremely worn and tatty - coming away from the walls in places. However, upon entering my room, I was relieved to find it beautifully decorated and clean. The bathroom looked new and the shower was very powerful. I will note that the shampoo holder was broken, though. Having breakfast included...
