Served our purpose. Lacking in daily room cleaning or restocking. Got towels first day but none after, no restocking of cups/coffee tea. Garbages weren’t emptied. I hear this is the new standard post Covid

Sorry to hear that, but we're only too happy to clean your room every day your security lock was across and housekeeping could get in and they don't have access to the outside doors, sorry.
Building too small, too old, badly renovated. Management people too unreasonable and NOT suitable to serve travellers. See my E-mail sent to Expedia.ca on August 24-2023.

You must have stayed at a different location because were newly renovated inside out here. Everything is new here & don't forget we're only a Motel. Motels tend to be smaller than a Hotel.
The staff was wonderful, helpful above and beyond. One thing which struck us is that there were no paper tissues in the room, no glass in the washroom (for tooth brushing).
But a good night's sleep and a Timmies just across the street.

The location is excellent for touring the Avalon. Easy to get to everywhere. Some areas of the hotel were a little tired and worn. Bathroom was clean and was recently upgraded. A/C was a challenge to work with. We had a room on the upper floor and it had lots of space and a view of the Bay a few blocks away. Didn't have much interaction with the staff but what we did the people, like all over Newfoundland, are great. Timmies across the road too for those early mornings.
Very close to the road, bed was cozy but the TV did not work, the air conditioner dripped, could not contact anyone to help. No one was at the front desk to speak to, no phone in the room and the number listed was not answered by anyone.

We enjoyed the privacy of the room and pleasantness of the staff. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was above our expectations. the parking was close to the room and the area was quiet. If we are in the area again I would choose to stay at the Newfound Inn again.

The mote has been updated and was quite clean. It advertised a breakfast which was a considerable overstatement - vestal and yogurt - no coffee or tea etc.

Good day. We have a full coffee system in every room with supplies. Extra if needed are available in our kitchenette area. Thanks you.
Waited over an hour to have the room ready, after 3pm. Room very small. Looked for staff for breakfast and checkout, no one in the building at all . Gave the next door guy coifed machine, soap, he had none. Would not recommend to anyone. Imagine front door locked, no one there 8:30 am till 9 am??

Hi Richard, I'm sorry your stay with us was not enjoyable. Unfortunately, sometimes with many checkouts at 11 am it's impossible for 1 housekeeper to have all rooms ready for 2 pm. We try our best !!! As for breakfast, it is pre-packaged items only, no cooked items as per covid guidelines and company policy and standard throughout many hotels that do not have a restaurant on site. Our manager lives on-site and sometimes has to step away from the front desk to attend to other guests/motel and will lock the main door for security reasons before 9 am but hallway doors do not lock so that guests have full access to the outside, lobby, and breakfast area. No Keurig machines are missing from rooms as all rooms have them. We strive to do our best and will continue in the future.... All the best!!
This property is really nice now that Reno's are done. The room we have was amazing, like a 1 room apartment. It's a beautiful place and we'll layed out, along with really nice color schemes. The staff is friendly and your given a warm welcome.
We can't wait to stay there again..
