"I got a really cheap room so I can't moan too much. Perfect for an overnight before an early flight out - the rooms are starting to show their age - had to lift the lid off the toilet to get it to stop running, BUT it was clean, and the staff were very pleasant, polite and helpfull so i would stay again"

"The property is well located in the centre of the village. Only complained we had was due to the outside noise (Power saw and back-up alarm from forklift) created by the construction in the harbor. A room on the other side of the hotel might have cushioned that noise somewhat. The staff lady which we connected with in the Grocery/Liquor Store was extremely helpful and sourced a microwave and cutlery for us , since the restaurants where still closed for the season. Would definitely stay there...

"Room was nice but on the smaller side. The bed was comfortable. The Bathroom is again on the smaller side with the sink separated in the room but the rain fall showerhead was great. Unfortunately I didn't noticed there appeared to be black mold on the window sills until i checked out. For that reason alone I wouldn't stay again. Location was good, close to everything and a great breakfast place on property."

"The hotel was recently renovated. Our room was small but very comfortable. Limited parking spots. A short walk from the ferry. The Sunday morning desk clerk very friendly and helped us find a great place to eat. There were no elevators to the two story hotel."

"It was fully equipped to be self-contained, which is good because there's nothing else close-by for meals. The "chalets" were unique and fun to try for a couple nights. We booked it as a way to see the more rustic northern part of Vancouver Island. Staff was really nice."

"The Rodmay Hotel has potential: it is definetely a heritage building and has some beautiful furniture but there is a lot of work to be done. It was clean and quiet but: 1. it took a long time for the hot water to arrive. 2. we couldn't shut the bathroom door. 3. the bathroom sink was very tiny with no counter space 4. the air was a bit stuffy."
