We had a private room with bathroom. We walked by empty dorm rooms which looked clean too. Modern, nice, clean and friendly staff. Close to the water and only couple streets from the main street. Nice and quiet.

Convenient location
Check in was easy and staff friendly. The hostel is very close to all the sights in Colonia which is very convenient. It's about a 10 minute walk to the bus station and ferry terminal. Breakfast was good-croissants, juice, bread, jam, coffee. Room was comfortable with a TV and safe. They stored our bags after we checked out which was appreciated.

Really good hostel
The hostel overall is really really good, but the kitchen could do with a revamp and it's not great. If you don't want to cook it's perfect. Breakfast is good too!

Great location but dirty rooms and awful service
I'm glad we only stayed one night at this hostel! Check-in was okay, although receptionist couldn't speak any English. We've got room 4 (6 bed dorm) and the walls were dirty and covered in mould. But not just that, when we got back to our room in the evening, flies were all over the room. Receptionist was very unfriendly and blamed us (although the window was already open when we arrived). At the end, she agreed to clean the room. Luckily, nobody else stayed in the room, so we could pick the bed furthest away from the mouldy walls. Breakfast was fine and location is great, close to the historic centre and lots of restaurants and bars. Overpriced for what you get, would not stay here again!

Clean, but stuff guests into the crowded room
Reception can't speak English, but not problem. Facility is clean mostly. It was not on season, few guest there, but hostel put as many guest into one dormitory room only, even there are many empty room there. Felt unpleasant.

The room was cold due to lack of any heating although otherwise a nice space with large windows. The water was never hot only luke warm. The breakfast was mediocre and staff wanted to clean up before you finished. A nice part of town to be in and wander around.The staff were curteos but not warm or friendly. The communal kitchen was dirty and uninviting. The communal living area was likewise cold. Even the staff had to put lots of warm cloth on. However there was access to a computer and the internet. It might be ok staying there in summer but certainly not in the cold or rain.

One night in Colonia
As far as hostels go, this is probably the cleanest one I stayed in while in Uruguay. It's in a great location to explore the old town and its bright, and the air conditioning is great. Wifi is solid, breakfast is provided and its relatively clean. The people are there if you need help but they don't go out of their way to provide assistance.

Decent budget stay
Nice enough stay. Check in was a bit dour to say the least! Breakfast was ok but the room had a very strange odour to it whic wasn't ver pleasing at all.

Clean and comfortable private rooms
This hotel was great, quiet, clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were real comfy. Nice hot shower. The only thing is the employees were not friendly and helpful at all and texting all the time.

Decent location. Hostel had sufficient bedding, they give you the sheets to set yourself and you check out by turning them back in. But service was awful. When I arrived the employee checked me in and showed me the room but nothing else. I had to find the bathroom, kitchen, etc all on my own. Not very friendly and did not enjoy my stay.

this was a well located, clean hostel, pity the most miserable person ive encountered in south america checked me in. not one smile or welcome in 2 days i was there. she put me in the fullest dorm room and when full with 6 people this was cramped and it smelt. i asked to be moved and on my second request she moved me to another dorm. The reception area was noisy both nights until late, and you could hear noisy people in the room next door the second night. the man in the reception in the early morning was really nice and friendly. the other thing i didnt like was that when i first arrived in the afternoon i went in looked around and left without anyone being in the front reception area so i didnt think this was very secure.

Nos hospedamos con mi familia 5 días. El personal fue muy amable y atento. Las habitaciones son lindas y cómodas. El baño privado algo pequeño pero cómodo. Las instalaciones están bien. Cuentan con una cocina compartida con microondas, anafe, parrilla y vajilla que te salva. El desayuno está bien. Pan, mermelada, dulce de leche, manteca y queso crema; también sirven unas facturas que son muy ricas. Además cuentan con jugo, leche, café, agua caliente, cacao en polvo. El personal está pendiente de ir reponiendo y atendiendo a los huéspedes. Lo único que podría decir es que falta un poco más de variedad en la comida, alguna fruta y/o fiambre. La ubicación es excelente, cerca del barrio histórico y del río.

O melhor foi o senhor alto que nos atendeu (infelizmente, nao perguntei o nome)!!! Nao tem elevador e fiquei no 2o andar. O quarto e o cafe são é bem simples, mas tudo dentro do esperado.

Bastante atenção ao fazer a reserva
Reservei um quarto com banheiro privativo e fui acomodado num com banheiro coletivo. No quarto também não havia o cofre mencionado no anúncio. Os funcionários tentaram remediar a situação mas fiquei bastante decepcionado.

MUITO BARULHO e CHEIRO DE ESGOTO [NÃO RECOMENDO]
O quarto do hotel tem um espaço bom, a cama é confortável e as roupas de cama são limpas. No entanto, há um cheiro MUITO forte de esgoto no quarto, só foi suportável porque eu já tinha pago a estadia e já estava lá pronta pra dormir, do contrário teria visto outro lugar para passar a noite. Além disso, há barulho excessivo, pois há uma cozinha na parte de trás do hostel, onde as pessoas se reúnem para confraternizar. Até aí tudo bem, mas o barulho vai até tarde, até às 2h da manhã. Se você vai pelo quarto compartilhado, até entende que barulho faz parte, mas quando reserva o quarto privado, espera-se silêncio e tranquilidade. Conversei com o staff da noite sobre esses dois pontos e eles não estavam dispostos a fazer qualquer coisa sobre o assunto, nem se importaram. Quanto ao fedor disseram que era normal e por conta do vento mudando de lado, disseram ser algo comum em toda a cidade, mas sinceramente só senti esse cheiro no quarto do hotel. Quanto ao barulho, disseram que tava tudo bem e que é política do hotel permitir muito barulho até tarde. Enfim, foi bem frustrante minha estadia, fiquei super incomodada e não consegui descansar bem. Por esse motivo, eu realmente NÃO RECOMENDO que você se hospede aí. Procure alguma outra opção na mesma faixa de preço, com certeza vai encontrar um lugar melhor. É uma pena porque o hotel é bem localizado, mas se você quiser descansar, não vai conseguir.

A paso del centro, bien ubicado
El lugar está muy bien, los empleados son SUPER amables y de buen trato. Nos toco habitación del lado de la calle, y la luz del casino de enfrente se hace un poco molesta. Por la construcción se escucha mucho ruido de los demás. El desayuno era simple pero correcto

L’hôtel, fait posada mais offre des chambres avec SdB. L'emplacement est pratique car proche du centre et d'une petite plage. Le petit déjeuner est dans la salle commune, de bonne qualité avec des petits croissants fait maison...La chambre respire le neuf, la salle de bain est petite avec une grande douche, la literie correcte.....mais les draps sont tachés....et pas des petites taches...inadmissible....le service reste moyen... Au final, un tarif surcoté, mais nous sommes en zone hyper-touristique ce qui explique le prix....Pour la visite de Sacramento 3heures suffisent sans se presser donc ne perdez pas de temps ici il y beaucoup mieux à voir ailleurs...
