This was our first stop in Sri Lanka. The location was excellent, super close to the city centre but in a slightly quieter part of town, close to great restaurants, cafes and shops. The team were extremely friendly, caring and accommodating. The room was sizeable and the shower was incredible. Would highly recommend !

Really nice little gem in the city. All the staff were really nice and helpful. The food was excellent and pleasantly surprised by valentine 5 course dinner. All reasonably priced. Room was big and beautiful bathroom. Highly recommend.

The staff are kind, helpful, friendly, hospitable and polite. Our room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. For guests who are looking for an intimate and friendly environment away - this is the place. The hotel is athletically pleasing with decorative and artistic touches that are beautifully curated. Chef Clifford Perera and his team served us a five star breakfast with pastry delights that rounded off the perfect start to a day in beautiful Sri Lanka

Second visit to Colombo

Enjoyable stay...small hotel...30 plus rooms..great pool with good f/b choices. Affordable pricing. Located in the business district but with alot to see and do. "Downtown" can b a little pressuring with tuk tuk pricing but where the hotel is located thats not the case. Great staff...Hanfal and Dushan in front office and Thushava,Dinesh,Sanoj and chathuranga in F/b deserve a mention. If yr not looking for a traditional 4/5 star hotel...i wud highly recommend this Hotel.

Room was great. The hotel facilities are ok, but not excellent. Pool is fine, though small. The gym is tiny. Restaurant is ok. A bit too expensive for the food they offer. I stayed twice at this hotel. The first time, I got a very noisy room and I was given a different room the second time, which was not noisy. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying there again.

It was very acceptable for the price. The attendants in the restaurant were awesome. I went Scuba Diving earlier than regular breakfast hours and they were great to assist me with an earlier than normal breakfast. Overall the service was very good. And everyone tried. I didn’t like being asked to contribute $2 a day for environmental purposes as soon as I arrived. I was asked for my passport and then asked to donate money. Started me off on a sour note.

Perfect in all categories

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The location is excellent. We found everything in the hotel perfect: clean, big size room, great service and amenities. Overall, a great place to stay, away from noise and there’s a french bakery a block away that has delicious coffee and croissants.

The hotel's IT system has been compromised. Three times before our arrival I received WhatsApp messages directing me to a website for payment (the scammers had my name, phone number and hotel booking with dates). I also used IT security program McAfee while staying at the hotel scanning the hotel's WiFi, with the result being that the hotel's WiFi was NOT safe, so we ended up using data while staying in the hotel. Staff was very courteous, but some of them quite new so our breakfast order was wrong twice. Cleaning of the room was OK but we found a previous guest's socks. When we checked in we found that the balcony door was open which is not good since there are mosquitos around. In the bathroom, there is a mesh (not a window) to the outside, which unfortunately lets in mosquitos.

We’d booked a suite with separate rain shower and bath but were offered only a duplex, with bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It had no separate rain shower but only a very high-sided bath with a hand-shower above. As a couple in our 70s, we could not have accessed the shower. We were told that there were no other suites available and if we wanted a walk-in shower, we would need to downgrade our room despite paying for a suite. When we protested, it was conceded that the ‘honeymoon suite’ was available which we were given. The hotel boasts ‘comfort and opulence’. However, the décor in general is looking quite jaded and in need of major refurbishment. The rooms have floor-to-ceiling blinds, which do not always work smoothly and let in copious amounts of light day and night. There are no curtains. The noise from the busy road on which the hotel is located is quite significant and was aggravated by the fact that, on all three nights we stayed, the hotel hosted events lasting from early evening until late. The music from these could be heard quite loudly. Preparation for the events also put the breakfast restaurant and pool and spa areas under constant use from the time that the breakfast service stopped, so were not pleasant to relax in. The best aspect of the hotel by far was the staff and the quality of service they provided. They were warm, friendly and always willing to help. The breakfasts (included in our rate) were also excellent, as was the service in the restaurant.

Très bon séjour.

Très joli hôtel dans un quartier agréable. La chambre était belle et très grande. Le personnel est très professionnel et sympathique. Le petit déjeuner est très bon, on peut le prendre en extérieur ou en intérieur près de la piscine. Le restaurant sur le toit est très bien aussi. On recommande.
