Front desk guys was so helpful. Gave us a map and explained all places we could check out. Room was great. Clean and had good space for 4 adults. Also right at the tram stop which help us get around town.

Conveniently located near Barbarossa Platz tram lines. 4 stop from the Central Station. Room was compact but modern and well appointed. Funky abd pleasant lobby. I was able to park my bike in the secured garage.

This has become my go to property in Cologne for my weekly business trips in November. From the friendly staff at check-in to clean rooms and comfortable beds, it has it all. And, you walk outside and have many dining options as well as grocery stores to choose from. I can only recommend.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean, and the bed comfortable (although the mattress was almost too soft for my liking). You have a local subway/tram station right outside the hotel as well as several restaurant and grocery store options. I would stay here again.

Third stay in a row within a month, and satisfied. The only little thing I have to mention this time is that the sink in the bathroom was super tiny. I never had this issue with the other rooms I have stayed on before. Other than that, everything was great. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay here besides the cleaning staff throwing away(?) my contact case. The room was a good size and right in the heart of downtown. I wouldn't say it's quiet being right in front of the tram station but with the window shut it wasn't too bad at all. The brunch in the lobby was great with plenty of options to choose from. I would recommend to others

Great find

No complaints - easy check in, good communication (I messaged to say I was arriving early, they accommodated this and messaged back promptly) Great location downtown, walkable (about half an hour through centre) from the main train station. Loads of good bars and restaurant's. Check in was nice, greeted by a staff member who was generous with his time and happy to point out some interesting nearby places via an interactive map they have at reception. Inside is nice, cafe downstairs is friendly and have a nice selection. Room its self is simple but well presented, clean, everything you'd need really. I had a large room and I was on my own (price just made sense to do this) Cost factored in, I'd recommend this hotel and this area. Though I was here for work I'd have no quarrels having my family stay here. Seems tailored to suit that too.

Room with a View in Cologne during Carnival.

Went for a weekend trip to Carnival. This hotel is close to Metro (Barbarossaplatz), and the route of the Carnival. Metro to Central Station was 9-10 minutes at the most, which is next to the Cologne Cathedral. The reception spoke English and were very friendly and accommodating at check-in. They asked if we needed any help or had any questions. Checking out was also quick and easy. They have a coffee shop with snacks/coffee/drinks (beer) available to purchase with cash or credit card. They have great tasting cappuccino.... The hotel had elevator and stairs. The room was clean and we were given a room with view to parade/street. It was good to have the room with a view. The hotel seemed packed with people, but they were active in maintaining their area clean. There was even security in the evening to ensure guests were ok when entering the hotel. The hotel area was safe for us during the day and late night. I would stay here again without thinking twice. There are little Kiosk stores, and bigger REWE stores (similar to grocery market) nearby to get food or drinks. There is even a pharmacy next door for any over the counter meds you may need, great for travelers who forget allergy pills. Shower had cool and hot water, with good pressure. The pillows and sheets were crisp/clean. Just note, eating in room is not recommended, they prefer that you use the lobby or cafe, understandable to maintain cleanliness.

The manager B.Peynor was very kind and looked after me very well despite an initial hiccup. I would advise no a/c in the single room I had. There is a fan. It is very convenient with the tram stops, supermarket and McDonald. Bring your body lotion as it is not provided.
