A short walk from the train station with plenty of dining and shopping in the the surrounding area! Rooms are small but comfortable and clean . Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

SEHR GUT !! Great location. There is a parking garage right next door. Fairly close to train station. Shopping and transportation very close. Rewe grocery store around the corner. Hard Rock Cafe is close by as well. You can get access to a gym nearby as well.

Good location. Poor checkin, made everyone queue and wait for exactly 3pm. We had exposed wires, workmens stuff in corridor all weekend. Room service poor, dirty floors n surfaces

Excellent location. From the Neumarkt station of U-Bahn, take the exit for Hohe Str. As soon as you exit the U-Bahn station, the hotel is literally 10 seconds away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They came across as cheerful and polite. There are dozens of restaurants within short walking distances. The hotel is in the middle of a busy shopping district and hence there are several store options within short walking distances. The hotel itself looked nice. The room was a bit on the smaller side (compared to US hotels) but that's the norm for most European hotels. Overall, would stay there again.

Good location in central Koln 15 mins on foot from the central station...our room was big and had a functioning AC The room was full.of dust and spiderwebs - lack of professional cleaning - minimum amenities in the room - WiFi was really bad adn didnt cover the entire room on the second floor! They didnt have the complimentary bottle of wine so they offered 2 glasses of white wine instead. It's not a four star hotel...needs a lot of improvements

Disappointed as a 4 star hotel

Pros: Great location; Joined gym access to the commercial gym nearby Cons: No cleaning service between the stays. Lack of amenities in the room even doesn’t provide the hand wash or cups etc. Bed is extremely small. Room air conditioning doesn’t work well and it gets extremly warm on hot weather day. No breakfast. More importantly bed is not very comfortable which led low quality sleep during the stay.

Best capsule hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Extremely clean, quiet, and very conveniently located at the airport. Unfortunately the hot tubs weren’t working while I was there, but it was still a great stay. They provide body wash and lotion in the bathrooms as well as hairdryers. On your bed you are given a towel, pillow, blanket, and ear plugs. They don’t provide an amenity kit, shower bag, or slippers for the shower though so bring your own. The facilities are very clean and well decorated. There is a bar/ cafe area where you can purchase sandwiches, breakfast (oatmeal/ cereal, croissants, yogurt) and drinks. Nothing is free though Switzerland is expensive so be prepared for that. Overall a great stay but my only complaint is that if you are on a top bunk and want to switch to a bottom bunk, they will charge you $5CF.

Subpar hotel

Generally the staff was nice but I called the hotel at 1pm to ask if I could check in by 2pm. They said that was possible but when I arrived at 2.10pm they weren't ready and when they finally gave me a room they gave me one that smelled like people had smoken in there for a decade. The cleaners had left the window open as they probably knew while they keep the heaters at maximum heat right under the window. The next room I was checked into didn't smell of smoke but generally there was a heavy scent to the whole hotel and the rooms were smaller than anticipated. Also, there were a couple of things that didn't function as intended in the room. Breakfast was decent.

This was not a great hotel. When we arrived, we were told that the breakfast was not going to be served at all during our stay, and they could not even offer coffee. This should have been communicated in advance. We were also supposed to get a complementary bottle of wine, but we never recieved anything. Staff was ok, but not super helpful. All e-mail communication and information prior to our stay was in german with no translation, which was pretty annoying. All in all, when we paid this much, we would expect a much higher standard.

Great Location...quirky property.

The location of this hotel is great for the Christmas Markets...close to practically all of them! It was also close to shopping, bakeries, and nightlife! BUT...the hotel was a bit quirky. When booking this space I believe it was listed as 4 star...it definitely was not. Practicing a form of eco-friendliness, you receive 1 towel in the bathroom for 2 days and the rooms aren't serviced until after 48 hours. The bathroom was a tight space...a little bigger than a camper bathroom. As others of have said, there are no outlets near the bed to charge anything at night but if you know that in advance you can adapt. Unlike other reviews, I found the staff very friendly and helpful at managing requests/answering questions, and I never ran out of hot water in the shower. The Saturday price was 2.5-3 times as much as the Sunday-Wednesday. Given the time of year I guess that's understandable but I certainly wouldn't pay that again to stay there. This property wasn't horrible (I've stayed in worse) but I would select a different hotel in the future when visiting the city.

Booked extra large dome suite for 4 nights, paid for on Expedia. Issues: Completed online booking process, including entering passport details which is too intrusive. Despite this, check in still took far longer than normal. Was told I only needed to pay city taxes. Unauthorised charge for full stay (700 ) taken from original credit card, despite already paying through Expedia. Told I need to wait 2 weeks to get this back. As others have said, no info provided on check in. Email sent on day 2 providing wifi password, & One Key activation. Strong smell of ciggarette smoke pumped continuously into the bathroom which filled the room. Extremely unpleasant. Of note: The room is very dusty, there are lots of shiny services and dust comes in through the windows so I can see why the cleaners don't bother. Clean bedding & sinks, although hair found in bath plug hole. Damp patch on sofa and damp hand towel found on checking in. Only one large towel provided. The bath has a low shower attachment so no standing shower. Minimal facilities provided, empty fridge, no soap in toilet, no tea making facilities. Dark room with broken wardrobe light so no way of seeing in the wardrobe or safe at night. Comfy bed, although 2 singles pushed together with 2 single duvets may not suit some. The room may be sound proofed but windows are not, located on main road near fire station. Pros: Receptionists polite and keen to rectify what issues they can, providing towels and pillows on request.

Very clean. Great location and staff. Asked for extra pillow and got it immediately. Most impressive was the use of the gym down the street. Probably best gym I have ever been to. It was like being in a resort.

This is a very budget hotel. I knew my room would be small, but it was in very poor condition. The top of bed was in a recess so that when you sit up you bang your head. The adjustable lamp above was also loose and hanging directly down. No bedside table or even a little shelf, so your phone, glasses, water, etc have to be on the floor. Wifi was very weak and wouldn’t stay connected. Oh and there was no hot water, which didn’t seem to bother the receptionist too much. All for £159 a night!

Great location within the main shopping area. A few minutes walk to the Döm and old town, and to the chocolate museum. Automated check in code didn’t seem to work but it was daytime so we just went inside to the reception desk where the staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean, though very small. Bathroom was functional but the shower door was a little temperamental. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so can’t comment on that. We found the department store across the road had a lovely buffet for only 5€. I would certainly stay at this hotel again, it was good value for money and surprisingly quiet for such a central location.

Nice hotel, excellent staff, incredible location.

A nice, well managed and well maintained hotel in a terrific location on the edge of the old town, with easy access to tourist attractions, and just steps away from an U-Bahn station, multiple restaurants and a Rewe market. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. Although we were unable to check in early, the hotel stored our bags so we were able to enjoy a day in the city. The hotel room was clean, reasonably spacious and quite comfortable. The bed was confortable and the bathroom was well designed and adequately appointed. We were particularly grateful to our air conditioning since we visited during a heatwave. The location was incredible, as we were steps away from anything we either needed or wanted. We would definitely consider staying here the next time we visit this grand city.
