"Family of 6, from the U.S., staying 3 nights. The hotel is very dated and needs a makeover. The beds were hard but that seems to be common in Brazil. There seems to be a lack of amenities at hotels in Brazil. No washcloth, no tissues, no stationary. For what this room costs I expected more and in a little better condition. The area is very quiet, but I wouldn't recommend walking anywhere. The positives: The location on the beach is great. Breakfast was very good and so was dinner. Shuttle runs...

"We had a wonderful stay at Carmel Cumbuco Resort and would highly recommend it. The resort itself is beautiful, with spacious and well-appointed rooms — the only minor suggestion we would make is to add a chair to the room, which would make it even more comfortable. The real highlight of our stay, however, was the exceptional service from the staff. "Staff was great! The entertainment people were amazing! The buffet needs alots of improvement, it was the same food everyday same stuff for breakfast same stuff for dinner. Also needs improvement with their card system I had alots of issues with the Water park entrance on both days."
