"Everything was fine with the hotel staff struggle to understand us at times and opening times seemed incorrect as we were told grill was open till 10:30 but was 10pm And we weren’t offered both menus"

Imperial Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The Imperial is well located - we walked to most of the things we wanted to see. You could take an Uber/taxi but the area traffic is congested and the walks are easy. We found that the Imperial was a great place to stay. We had two breakfasts, one lunch and one dinner (plus we wound each day down in their really neatly decorated and themed bar (Fitzgerald)."

Rochestown Park Hotel

"We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, there was a kettle and a mini fridge. Beds were comfortable. It was close for the things we needed. Walking distance to some restaurants. We always saw staff cleaning. The pool was great. Didn't realize I needed a swim cap but they have them available for sale at the pool desk. We didn't use the on-site bar or restaurant. The restaurant has a nice sun room that looked like a great place to enjoy some down time. We did have noise from the room next door because of the adjoining room door which didn't have any sound damping. Also we ended up booking a double room and the beds were small. They did provide a flat sheet for us as it was too warm in the room for a duvet."

"Parking was the only issue, it’s not really well sign posted and it’s separate to the hotel, the one way road system in Cork city isn’t helpful if you miss the turn for the car park Hotel was lovely inside, staff were very friendly and polite, breakfast had lots of choice and it’s a great location for city center pubs and amenities"

Maldron Hotel South Mall Cork City

"Location was great! The street behind is full or restaurants and pubs, the English Market is walking distance and busses to many places can be caught at City Hall, right across the river (5 minute or less walk). The room was very comfortable and well designed with a comfortable king bed and a little area with a table and kettle. The bathroom was spacious and had a great shelf for toiletry bags. It was clean, quiet and in a great location!"

"Really enjoyed our stay there. We settled in, then walked into town for dinner. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the house has a lot of character... it's around 200 years old! They prepared a light breakfast for us which was sitting outside our door in the morning. Easy to find and plenty of free parking out front."
