Thanks for the review. We would like to respond. You did not speak to us on the phone before reserving the room. If you had I would have let you know that all of the rooms are on the second floor. On Hotels.com under accessibility it states the following under Accessibility: Handrails in stairways, Upper floors accessible by stairs only. When you arrived and saw the stairs I offered to cancel the reservation with no fee, yet in the review you state that it " didn't seem to bother them." According to Hotels.com policy I could have cancelled the reservation which would have incurred a 131 fee. As stated above, I offered to cancel the reservation with no fee. We do not advertise that we have A/C the same as a majority of the hotels in Cloudcroft, as our Summer temperatures stay around 80 degrees and nights get into the 50s. As for the hot water issue, we have two new 80 gallon hot water heaters that are working fine. The bathrooms are small but have been remodeled and if they were so 'nasty', you could have called us and we would have cancelled the reservation. There are plenty of rooms in nearby Alamogordo that could have accommodated you. As for our reviews, since 5/28/2023 we have received 5 5/5, 1 4/5 and 1 8/10 reviews. Finally, it is interesting when guests would rather write a nasty review after they have left than to simply speak to the Inn Keepers and find a resolution. Unfortunately, that did not happen in this situation.
